Beautiful hostel! Very cosy, clean and well priced! We would defiantly stay here again! Street parking was available and the staff super friendly! In regards to the review below this Hostel is not in the CBD however its merely a short drive to get to the CBD or a bus if that's what your after, we had no issues with the Wi-Fi was free for us the whole time.

A very homely feel and social vibe. The staff add to this..would have liked to stay there longer.Side note: I had a motorbike and felt it was safe leaving it here. Off road parking available and even the option of garage storage

One of the best hostel’s I resided at in New Zealand. Andy went above and beyond to make our stay impeccable. The entire lodge makes for a home vibe, instead of just a place to crash at. Extremely clean, well kept and organized. Saying this after experiencing 5-6 different hostels during my trip in South Island. Do not hesitate to book! If you’re part of haka tour and will stay here inevitably, then look forward to kicking back and having your needs taken care of here.

Best hostel we have stayed in since we arrived in NZ a couple of months ago. Rooms are immaculate, bed comfortable. Shower areas are modern and spotlessly clean. Good kitchen, large lounge with new comfortable sofas, good plasma TV with sky sports! Staff very relaxed and friendly. Definitely worth booking if in Christchurch.

Had a great stay at Haka Lodge!We were there at winter and it was a very cold and rainy day and the kitchen was a bit cold in the morning. But warm water in the shower did really balance that.Windows are a bit thin, so you could hear the street a bit, but all houses in NZ are not very much insulated as at our home.Staff was nice and friendly!

Such an excellent and budget-friendly place to stay. The rooms were really nice and the staff were excellent. Stayed here in July 2019 at the beginning of our Haka Tour to ski resorts in Wanaka and Queenstown.

Super cozy beds and friendly staff. Nice garden with barbecue. Beautiful lounge room with large TV. The only pain is that is quite far from city center (15min bus, purple line, plus 10 min walk).

Great place for foreign visitors, or people only staying in chch for a night. Has a strict no children allowed policy. So if you have children this isn't an option but if you're a couple that like child-free environments then this is definitely worth considering. Only thing is, this is more of a hostel style living. Shared bathrooms and showers (unsure of ensuite options) and a shared kitchen/dinning area. Great vibrant staff. Has free WiFi and great outdoor seating spaces. Not so great parking though. Very limited space.

Absolutely fantastic place. Staying in self contained apartment next to house, sharing with another couple. Excellent value for money, super clean, far exceeded expectations. Out of city, bus from airport. Purple bus get off at St John's rd ( ferry rd is the main rd) walk down St Johns to end, take a left and first house on corner. $4./8Go into Sumner beach, next stop down on same bus!!Cheers Haka!

Rooms are well equipped and clean. Common spaces are very nice! The hostel is quiet and in a beautiful setting. One down side is it is a little far from the CBD. However there are plenty of restaurants and stores nearby
