Big Save Furniture

I havent shopped at Big Save in over 30plus years. But was looking for a replacement recliner, after looking around I found just what I wanted. Also the Male shop assistant was a great help, answering all my questions. The chair was delivered today and is extremely comfortable. Great place still to shop at .

Although I'm happy not being chased around by over eager shop assistance, it was disappointing I was now even looked at to wave for help. Staff at other end of building. Walked out without buying the 3 barstools we cam in for. Haven't purchased them yet. Most likely go to another branch

If I could review this store less than one star I would.The store manager was incredibly rude, unhelpful, and impossible to deal with, and the delivery staff were just as awful. I've been waiting over two weeks for a bedframe only to not be contacted when it arrived in the city and have to follow up to arrange delivery myself, the store manager, Ricky, was the most unhelpful man I've ever met. Would not recommend phoning the store unless you would enjoy being abused.I live alone and cannot lift the frame alone so I asked them to drop it in the room about 15 steps from the front door, which they couldn't do as they've been told to leave it at the front door.Overall shocking service experience, which is sad because at every other Big Save I've shopped with they've been fantastic.

Totally pathetic service we bought a sofa set recently waited for 1 single one sofa for 1 month to get that delivered with and paid extra money to get the special mechanism in it and now today I got it delivery and the driver just dropped the stuff outside my house in such a bad weather when requested he denied to help us out, that’s ok now we took it inside then we found this is not the same thing that we have ordered , after calling them immediately they said there is nothing written in our notes here so now again we have to wait that person who sold this to us he will come then he will check and again we have to wait for their decision , we are just done with all this and now it’s just not acceptable to wait more for you to review and check and get back to us. The sofa that was delivered before has a scratch on it rather than getting it solved immediately you all have to follow procedures irrespective of the time we spend in travelling to Lower Hutt We don’t have the time and patience to again and again visit the store to get our issues resolved, we paid such a exorbitant amount not to get bullied and hassled.Never ever recommend this store !!!

I wish i could rate much lower than this!Very terrible costumer service. We bought Mattress, Mattress protector and Drawer Dresser with mirror. The drawer with mirror was un assembled. It did took us 2 hours to assemble. After we put all together one side of the Drawer Dresser snapped apart. We knew one side was slightly shorter than the other side. Immediately we contacted the store manager. About a week later, they send someone to look at it. The guy suggested his manager to order a part because it's faulty. We waited over two months and contacted the guy who supposed to fix it, then he directed us to the store manager. The store manager told us, the parts already here in store i am waiting to get in touch with the guy who's fixing for you"

Appalling experience, don’t waste your time buying from this store all you’ll be met with is a lack of accountability and horrible customer service. If it was possible to rate in the negative I would. I was convinced to purchase a mattress projector after purchasing a new bed from big save furniture $150 later the mattress protector doesn’t even fit the mattress. After continuous emails, over a month of no response I get a call where I am told my correspondences ended up in the spam folder? However, my most recent email advising I would be contacting the CGA didn’t. I requested a refund was told no that it was potentially faulty and they would give me another that I would have to go and collect. The base for our bed was faulty we were advised to return it in store and pick up a new one after a complaint they eventually offered to deliver it and pick up the faulty one, not everyone has the time or the means to pick up a bed base. We ordered a couch at the same time and we’re advised it would take 6-8 weeks max and we would have it before Christmas it has now been 3 months with no couch and we were told in November after chasing up the order it would arrive on 29th December. Then we received a txt message on 18th December that it will arrive in the second week of January. This entire experience has been horrific. After contacting the LH branch and requesting some form or compensation for the inconvenience, we were advised sorry it’s out of our control the only thing we can do is keep you informed about your order. We will never purchase from big save again! Over promise under deliver, passing the blame to avoid taking accountability, no first point resolution and poor customer service.

Won't be buying from big save again.. the delivery driver wanted to dump my new lounge suite on the muddy ground , in the pouring rain,he was very abusive, using foul language...not very impressed. Then proceeded to drive away with my furniture..I have been refunded after an entire day wasted, ...shameful. their delivery driver, absolutely disgusting.

I don’t usually do reviews but the customer experience here was great! Amazing tracking system of where your item is with regular text updates. Also delivered within a few days, unlike other places where we would have waited 16 weeks to get the couch! Couch itself is very nice too!

Very happy with the service and my new Nordic dining set. The e-communication post sale was flawless for setting up a delivery time. The delivery team, Josh and Deon, were on point. A big shout out to them for bringing the set up to my apartment (there were few flights of stairs) with diligence and care. Would recommend this furniture store to family and friends.
