Golden Kit Bakehouse

I’m a big fan of the steak and pepper pies, at $4 it’s definitely a good deal for a bakery in the middle of grey Lynn. I’ve been working my way through the cabinet items so far chicken and avocado sandwich, apple donut and ham & cheese bun are my favourites. I usually get a pie sandwich and donut and it comes out to ~$10, not many places can you get a lunch for so little! I think the bakery is family owned and the lady and gentleman behind the till are quiet, but they are very quick & efficient and remember my order too ;)Selection can vary the time of day you go. Usually about 11am has a good selection of pies and sandwiches. They can sell out of something’s at lunch.

Featured in the latest Metro magazine top 50 Best Dishes for their hot dog bun. Absolutely delicious as are their other pies and sandwiches.

Great kiwi bakery with delicious pies and all the classic flavours. Cream donut was delicious too. Same owners for many years!

I was disappointed by the lack of variety of lunches offered by this bakery but more upset by the absolutely filthy eftpos keypad, despite the business displaying an A Grade health rating. I would not recommend this bakery!

The male Asian staff member is very rude and lacks customer service skills. I'll stick to the bakeries out east and south, they know how to treat people
