Love this place...been there as part of my sons annual play center trip and enjoyed it every single time. It’s 45 mins ferry ride from Sandspit ferry to the camp. There are lots of bunk rooms with common toilets and bathroom and a huge kitchen and dining area. The place is managed by a lovely couple who lets you have a good time. We take our own food to cook and kids toys and activities. There is enough to do like fishing, kayaking, paddling, sailing, swimming, trekking etc.

Perfect island facility for groups up to 80 for a retreat including water and bush activities - including the clear night sky at the observatory. Outstanding experienced management ensures everything runs without a hitch.

Love it. Be prepared for being on the island. A super camp for large groups. Friendly resourceful managers. Where else in the world can you go hoping to hear kiwi and ruru at night, maybe weka, sting rays, dolphin, kereru, this,waxeyes and wallaby's by day? Be prepared to get cold and wet enjoying the many water activities.

Absolutely phenomenal camp, I went there just 2 weeks ago with my school for camp, the activity range and facilities were amazing, Pete and Erin really do an amazing job in terms of keeping the facilities in great condition, only thing I'm unhappy about it is that we had to leave.Thank you to the staff, Pete, Erin and Gavin for the amazing experience and everlasting memories, for me, that is a week worth treasuring.

I was a parent helper on the school trip here and throughly enjoyed this location and emenities. Everything was clean, tidy and close by. Peter and Erin were super hosts and the four days flew by in a happy daze.There was sailing, kayaking, paddle boarding, archery and a confidence course, as well as equipment for raft building and an Observatory. There is also an amazing outside fire place which is under cover.

Great place for a school camp - plenty of activities, clean facilities. Bunk and dormitory style rooms great for school kids, and big kitchen. Hosts are very helpful. Great for swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking and sailing. Is an on-site confidence course, Burma trail and walking tracks, and you can fish from the pier.

Camp Bentzon is the most amazing place for a school camp. The children get to experience activities they would never get a chance to try living in a city. The managers Pete and Erin are fantastic people, very friendly, amaemerablezing instructors, hard workers and make the experience of camp memorable. It is great to see all the improvements they have done over the years. Definitely hope to go back.

I really liked this camp site! It was top notch and the staff really knew how to crack some great banter. All in all a great experience and hopefully I can come back soon someday with my 4 wives, 9 children and 24 grandchildren!Ka Pai
