Great donuts. Price $7 per donut is reasonable but might be high if used to cheaper bakery options. Tried a few, vanilla was my favourite

A small donut place for takeaways only. I came around 3 in the afternoon and they only had a few flavours left. Ended up having the banana and peanut butter one, which was really nice and not too sweet. Would like to come back and try the other flavours as well. Friendly service

Grownup Donuts
These people make great donuts. But don’t ask them to deliver to your office. We ordered donuts for morning tea for our office (the morning tea was on a time limit) and they assured us the donuts would be here well in time for morning tea. They were not. Instead we had some 40 busy staff members waiting around for the donuts to turn up. Worse still, when we rang them they were rude and unhelpful. In short – buy donuts because they make great donuts, but do not order them for delivery to your office morning tea.

I’ve been trying to speak to someone from Grownup Donuts as I had a problem with my order last week and so far nobody has contacted me back about my refund. My email and text message have simply been ignored when all I’m trying to do is obtain reimbursement for an order that they weren’t able to fulfil.In fact, the person I spoke to on the day told me that I was being unreasonable as I couldn’t wait for the driver who was delayed in traffic and hopefully due to arrive by 9:25 - my order collection time was 9am, for a meeting on the other side of CBD at 9:30. Whilst I understand that traffic can be outside one’s control, it’s unrealistic to expect all customers to have such a level of flexibility with their timings.Perhaps consider a time window instead (e.g. between 09:00 - 09:30) or factor these instances into your potential losses but don’t take it out on your customers.

Decided to finally try Grownup Donuts as I’ve heard from a few people now that these are the best.Visited their kiosk around 1 on a weekday.First, it was little bit hard to locate as the google map direct you to Anzac avenue and their window is on Beach street. Look for mint laundry ! They are next to it.Second, its hard to see donuts because they are tucked away on the side of a cashier. You really need to pop your head inside to see them. Yes, they do have a display/board outside where they list available flavors. However, for a visual person as me, I need to see the food and how it’s presented before I commit to taste/eat it.Third, I tried passion fruit donut which suppose to have crunchy pieces of merengue. The passion fruit filling was great but I couldn’t find nor taste any crunchy merengues and that was disappointing.Forth, this is cashless place and so if you forgot your card somehow you are doomed.They do have two tables outside where you can sit down and eat hour doughnut but its not so inviting as its in the busy intersection. Doughnuts were good , but I would not call them the best in town. I thought they are kind pricey! Mine was $7.50. I just recall that you can buy 2 dozen of Krispy Kreme for $20.Overall, I will give 3/5. But surely, you gotta try it and decide for yourself! Probably better to get there in the morning to get them warm and fresh !

Tried the donuts today and very satisfied. The dough not oily just right amount of crunchness , chocolate not too sweet have bit bitterness taste and the sugar topping * would recommend icing sugar instead * . But overalls tasted wonderful and highly recommended :)

Really good donuts, and I don't even like donuts. You can taste fresh ingredients, and the quality home made like. We bought one for each of us, and turn around to buy more.

Grownup Donuts
A long overdue review! Grownup Donuts is pretty much an Auckland CBD staple. You can easily find them at any of the Britomart Foodtruck events. I've bought from them several times and they're always delicious! Staff is usually pretty friendly as well.
