Red Cabs (Hamilton) Ltd

Ordered a taxi the night before. It never showed up. I rang them to enquire. They said they canceled because no vans were available.

I hate posting this because the majority of drivers are great people but wow the head office needs sorting out!!!!I’m currently waiting for over an hour for my booked taxi to turn up. It’s the second time they have made me miss a physio appointment and one other time I missed specialist appointment because no cab turns up. Poor effort!The Manager Belinda is NEVER available to talk to and doesn’t ring back. They leave jobs on hold so the drivers can’t pick them up and meantime they client is left waiting….It’s a wonder they get the big contracts for Airport and ACC with poor quality staff despatching.

No issue with timing, but major issue with the cost estimation which was nearly $20 out from actual price! Not acceptable. We got the office on the phone to ask why and not prepared to pay the meter price which was so much higher. Their excuse is they have estimate only in front of them, not an accurate estimate at all!! Ripping off customers more like and putting drivers in an awkward position.

I was booked in to see my GP which stands for General Practitioner/Doctor. Some people call it GI but in New Zealand it is called GP. I had booked a taxi 3 days prior the appointment. When it come to my pick up it appears the person on the phone forgot to do the booking or the driver just felt lazy. The people on the Phone seem very Vague. And cant remember details as they lack empathy and lack organisational skills. And still get paid to do what? NOTHING

On 9 September I booked a taxi 90 minutes before I needed to be picked up. When the time came I waited and no taxi. I phoned and was told that one was on its way. Still no taxi so I phoned again only to be told that all the taxis were over the other side of the river and to phone another taxi company. At the time my bus to Bulls was due to leave in 12 minutes. I was frantic! Luckily my neighbour was able to take me to the transport centre and I got there just in time. I am so disappointed in Red Cabs and their so called service. Never again!

Preordered this service today 20minutes prior to finishing shopping to be ring by the taxi driver he where am I going? when clearly I gave the info to the company and then to be told he wasn't not near he's be 10 more minutes and that because I am hard of hearing I was yelling at him but did not have the intention of yelling just had vivid mask on and I couldn't hear him clearly then told he wouldn't come get me. I felt he didn't want to come through because the job was not worth his time. so I rang in for another taxi end up waiting a whole hour 20mins then walked with my shopping home. rang the company they said they'd ring me back and never did still havnt. such a huge let down ..

This happened a while ago . I ended up calling up to cancel a taxi very quickly into it so I didn't think it would be a problem and the lady on the line from red cabs starts screaming at me saying how awful i was to have cancelled, swears at me and calls me names etc. I end up hanging up on her cause I was so shocked hahaha. Yeah terrible customer service on her end

MYS286. Driver drives at extremely low speed on open road with no reason. Maybe he’s wasting his customer’s time and money at that time. Apart from that, he drive whatever he likes, turning right without any indicators even stop on road. I do wonder whether he has NZ driver license or not. Please never ever sit on this taxi for your safety.

Took the time to advise them of a problem with their automatedbooking service from the motel room phone. All push button and no actual person to talk to. After 3/4 hr of expected arrival time of the cab, phoned them directly and were advised the original booking was never received. So now some two weeks later and no response to my considered helpful email to try to help them with a problem. Pathetic, won't ever use them again

Exceptionally poor experience, one star is more than they deserve. I waited 40 min for a taxi and they sent a taxi to the wrong place. If I had walked to my destination it would have been faster. Had an important appointment which I missed. Never going to use them again.
