Wildfinder | Kaitoke

We had such a great day on the 65km Remutaka/Hutt River Trails. The pick up was seamless, Isaac was informative about Wellington and the trail, the bikes were great. The packed lunch was substantial, the instructions were thorough and the weather behaved itself. The views are breathtaking all along the route.The entire ride was a mix of single track, gravel fire trails, rail trail, paved bike paths, footpaths, and a bit of road. We took our MTB bike shoes and Wildfinder were able to supply us with the appropriate pedals on each of our bikes.We will do this ride again next time we visit Wellington. Just brilliant.The ebike is a good decision if you don’t like hills as there are plenty of them!

Wildfinder's e-bikes made our trip over the Remutaka cycle trail an enjoyable and memorable experience for all the family. They even had a 24 e-bike our son could ride so no one felt left out. Tony and Dave were really helpful and made sure we had everything we needed for fantastic day out

Total amateur at bike riding but we loved it and are hooked! A friend and I had eBikes hired through Wildfinder for 4 hours and we both had an epic time riding to Cross creek. Dave the staff member there was great, views were absolutely stunning. I highly recommend doing this and hiring eBikes especially if you need a bit of a push like me lol Never knew we had such stunning views in our own backyard!

Awesome fun family ride from Kaitoke to Cross Creek! So glad all on e-bikes as everyone could keep up easily. Friendly helpful service and sunny day with fantastic views made it a winner. Wont wait too long to do this ride again.

Went up today to take my son to see some of the old tunnels. We were planning of walking not knowing it was 10km to the summit. We were pleasantly surprised to see Wildfinder bike hire there at the car park. Hiring two e-bikes made the 20km round trip a breeze. A good selection of bikes and even had one for my 7yo. Thanks for making our trip fun and easy :)

Hired a couple of e-bikes to ride the Remutake trail to the peak and down to Cross creek. Booked for 4 hours which was enough to do there and back.I had the power turned off for the gental slope up to the peak, on the return up from Cross Creek to the peak I had the bike on eco mode.I would say if you are fit, then a standard mountain bike would be fine. My wife who suffers arthritis and has a replacement knee, found the e-bike gave her the freedom to complete the ride.

Excellent service and friendly people. Dave was incredibly helpful when it came to changing our booking due to the weather conditions and was informative with regards to the bikes and trail. We really enjoyed ourselves on the rail trail!

Good:Great day out. You don't need to be a cyclist or fit to do this trial on the e-bikes. Slopes are gentle and most of the track easy.Not good:Track needs to be kept clear from gorse and bramble, especially the Cross Creek side. These pest plants destroy the native vegetation and are no fun and full of thorns, so watch your legs and hands when you get to Cross Creek.

Did the Rimutaka Rail Cycle Track. Well looked after, picked up on time, no chance of getting lost. Nice lunch provided. Very professional. Great bike ride. Highly recommend!
