Mint Car Rentals (Auckland, New Zealand)

Our car had no spare tyre at all, tyres were snow tyres and didn’t handle well. Had a flat tyre on a PH, was very stressful trying to find someone to fix, ended up with a $350 bill to replace it which could have been avoided with a spare and waiting until the next day. Rang the company to ask for help - they told me I would have to get tow truck, no help from road side assistance since it’s not a break down. On return of car they took the invoice and said they would compensate the cost but no return of funds came through.

Fantastic efficient and friendly service. No fuss and great communication and service at all times. I am a very happy customer. Will definitely use again. Highly recommend.

A really great car rental experience. We had a late evening pick up and early morning drop off which was an additional cost but everything was seamless and well organised. The vehicle was fine... not as new as vehicles from other companies but it ran well and for the price it was a bargain. Communication with Mint staff was excellent. I'll use Mint again and will recommend to friends and family.

Totally recommend Mint Rentals! The communication with Anthony & team was informative and timely. The pick up at the airport went seamlessly; we had to collect the car from their afterhours partner but there were no problems or delays with that either. I opted for the full cover zero excess insurance as I was sharing the vehicle with friends. One friend had a small scrape with a post & I was worried that the zero excess wouldn't actually be zero (you hear such horror stories with some rental companies) but Mint were great, we didn't get charged any excess. They even posted my glasses back to me (in Australia!) that had fallen underneath the seat. I can't tell you how grateful I was for that. If I'm lucky enough to holiday in NZ again I will definitely use Mint Rentals again.

Great value, good service and was responsive to emails. Decent car, which although a little dated, as expected, was clean and in good order. Provided a discount too for a 2nd booking.

Great team, great little car especially on petrol, great price, could not fault mint rentals from start to finish. Service 10/10.Saved us so much on fuel and the initial car cost was better than most around.Thanks again guys

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!Such a great and easy company to work with, a huge difference from other cheap rental companies. We booked last minute and the team at the Mangere branch were very accomodating with answering questions and making the process as easy as possible. The car we hired was very good value for money, very clean, efficient and had no issues. Very impressed, we will be back!

Best rental car company I've dealt with no hidden fees. Communication was great Anthony made the whole process super smooth. Car ran great got me everywhere I needed to go. I'll definitely be using this company again when I return back to Auckland.

I hired a premium economy car with full insurance in November 2019 for 19 days, the total cost was around £300 yes I had to recheck it as well. The car was in great condition and never faulted on me once and was really good on petrol. The pick up and drop off process was very easy and quick, I would highly recommend them. As a bonus I informed them I might be a little over the drop off time by an hr or two, and this was no problem at all. Then dropped back at the airport straight away whitch takes about 5 mins.
