I just experienced fantastic customer service, very bubbly, clear and genuine. I highly recommend this branch!

I was only in this branch for about 5 minutes but I found the staff rude and dismissive. I wanted to open a joint account and was told to do it online which I accepted at the time, I then went home to try to do this online but could not find an online portal so I messaged the bank..... And sad told that I could only make an appointment in person at the branch. Obviously I'm a bit upset and disappointed by the whole situation which wasted my time in the weekend.

Visited this BNZ branch as an international client to open up an account. I received incorrect information from the clerk, but the staff were also unfriendly and unhelpful. They also made me wait a long time before helping (even though I was first in the queue), and didn’t seem like they wanted to assist me to open account the at all. Very disappointing and distressing experience. Not recommended.

Absolutely Useless bank I queue up for 20 min to exchange australia dollars to be told they don't do foreign exchange.Silly me I thought it was a bank

I got my NZ bank account here...There are much better Banks but still this one worked good for me... To create the account only took like half an hour and till my cards arrived 2 days...

After dealing with the horrible bank that is ANZ for work, BNZ is so much friendlier and helpful.They even have an automatic change machine to break large bills, meaning I don't have to wait for tellers to be available.

Visited BNZ Albany branch last night, Thursday. I dealt with a very rude and arrogant female staff named 'Maya Ai-Rufaie'. I just want to close my credit card account but she was not helpful at all from the very beginning. She obviously doesn't want to do CC closing process but instead deflected by instructing me to do the payment on-line and call Customer Service after paying. And with the way she interacts was so rude where it left me wondering on why has BNZ lowered it's standard and allowed this Frontine Customer facing staff to work in a branch with this type of attitude?Today, I called on the phone the BNZ support and got a confirmation from the Customer Service that the branch could done it themselves. Kudos BNZ !

After emigrating from the UK I originally attempted to open an account with ASB. Having spent a week of struggling to open said account I opened an account with BNZ.After applying online a few hours later I was invited in store to verify my ID which completed within 5 minutes. The clerk then helpfully walked me through setting up the app on my phone and made sure everything was in place with me.The stark contrast with ASB was huge and I couldn't recommend BNZ enough.
