JKS Shotokan Karate - Hibiscus Coast / Orewa
Great teaching by all the sensei at Orewa club and I'm very glad that I choose this club for my 8 year old boy. Specially thank should go to all the teachers, seniors for all the hard work and commitment given through out to make it very successful during the 4 months lockdown period via Zoom meetings. My boy is really enjoying the training, competitions and the company. Fully recommended.

I and my two kids 11 and 13 started last year knowing nothing about Karate. I have been really impressed with the intelligent coaching approaches that have created a positive atmosphere. It has benefited the kids both physically and mentally and made it something they look forward attending each week. I've also found it a fun way to keep in shape. Highly recommend.

So I started Karate at the age of 49 during one of our lockdowns, all my classes were online for the first month, I've had multiple injuries and have terrible flexibility due to years of other sports and accidents.I've found the Sensei's to be super supportive and happy to work with my idiosyncrasy's, I improved so much in my first 2 months that I graded to White Belt yellow tip, I've enjoyed it so much I've convinced my neighbor to come along next term, in my opinion JKS is more than just a Karate Club, it's a community!
