Hawera Cinema 2

Went to the movies with a small group to watch Mission Impossible. The prices were expensive for a small town and limited viewing times and options. Arrived at the cinema and waited for about 10minutes to be served. I personally don't believe its worth $17.50 for a adult with below average seating. The seat spacing was very tight so had no leg room to stretch . Other cinemas with that pricing would have reclining chairs , seating here is still the old school chairs fit for a child. We ordered the Cinnamon Donuts & Chocolate brownie and a choc dip ice cream. When we went into the cinemas we gave our pink slip to the usher lady and found a seat. We waited for a hour for our items which was a very long wait and still had to go and get the ice cream that they had forgot to give. For 2 adults, cinnamon donuts and 1 large drink was $54. The service was slow and popcorn that was shared amongst us was only eaten half way when the popcorn started to taste old,crusty and dry. For the price that we paid it wasn't worth the night. However I do love the new upgrades and the look of the cinemas but enter at your own risk . Maybe pay a bit more for the sofa/lounge seating if you really want a good experience

Haha this place doesn’t even deserve a star. Yes it’s a nice cinema. But the people. Absolutely shocking! And so rude. Worst customer service ever. Get rid of them and get some fun friendly happy staff instead. This is a place to have fun and enjoy time with children or loved ones or friends. Not to have come and see ugly as attitudes.

Only negative was small patronage for a 4pm show on a Monday....and the venue was great. Perceptive staff giving us guidance and feeding us up on goodies like we're kids again - loved it.New wine bar sitting there taunting us fully stocked waiting licence on 16 September....

A rare visit for us to the movies but absolutely the right decision to upgrade to the lounge seats especially since we got in on a Wednesday night special. So comfy and a stool to put our feet up. Spiderman was pretty special too.Staff on this evening warm, receptive and service with smile.

1st time at Hawera cinema, excellent event place ,very clean & tidy cinema easy excess into theater.

Awesome little theatre with friendly staff!Good selection of seats from bean bags up the front, normal cinema seating or two seater couches with foot rests in the back.A wide selection of food which can be delivered during the movie when you want.Good way to treat yourself!

Such a great cinema. Our family love going to watch movies there. It's one of the nicest cinemas I've been in.

Went to avatar. Love the couch option. The popcorn was a major let down with no flavour bought the biggest container that all went in the bin.

We enjoyed our night out at this cinema. Unfortunately there was no break to prevent discomfort from sitting too long. Loungers would need to be upgraded at some stage.
