Fern and Star Photography

You took pictures of my autistic son at football with MR T a couple of years ago. He hates having his picture taken, never poses or holds still to allow it. I didn’t tell you he was autistic and how he dislikes photos. Honestly I was amazed when I seen them and seen how you were with him, encouraging, gentle, natural. I loved the pictures, and so does he. It really comes through that you have experience with children with additional needs, and your manner was lovely! I then booked a winter photoshoot on the back of this. I Would fully recommend for any child. X

I was really looking forward to have this photo shoot with Victoria.First, because I love family photos, and well, I’m not in them, most of the time (I’m the one who takes my family’s pictures after all). Second, because I saw her photograph style, and it wasn’t a “posed” photo kind of work- what for me was a total relief!I have 3 very active kids, who are free spirits and do whatever they want to do it.Victoria understood that and most importantly, respected them! She saw them as they truly are; happy kids! She didn’t make me feel sorry for my kids behaviour, so the session was stress and guilt free! I love family photos, but I was totally avoiding this, as I knew it would be frustrating, but Victoria prove me wrong! The session was fun! We really enjoyed it being there as we are.

You know you’ve got THE BEST photographer when you’re faced with unfavourable, treacherous weather conditions and instead of giving up, we persevered through. I did not have high hopes or expectations for any decent shots from our shoot because the weather was so bad and the kids were not overly happy with being in it. What we were presented with literally blew me away. I believe I am quite an emotional person - anything remotely upsetting and I’ll be bawling like a baby. However, it is quite rare for me to cry tears of happiness and that is exactly what Victoria did to me when I was presented with our images and slideshow. They were beyond beautiful! There are no words to express how talented Victoria is, she is a true artist! On top of creating absolute magic she is so friendly, easy going and has this aura about her that makes you feel so comfortable and at ease. I never felt like I was “at a photoshoot”, we had minimal direction and she just did her thing while we did ours. My children are very shy, timid and uncertain around strangers and they were besotted with her within a few minutes of meeting her, this is unheard of. I believe Victoria is a unicorn photographer, she has so much passion and love for photography and that translates through the images she captures and experience you receive. I can’t wait to create more memories with Victoria in the future and can’t sing her praises enough!
