NZ Van Lines - Christchurch Movers

We employed nz van lines to pack and move us from Auckland to Christchurch. We had a few issues with our move which we raised. The company did try to resolve these. Unfortunately some staff let them down on this occasion.

As we unpack our house we add to the list of items broken beyond repair. Another two precious pictures found smashed today. All the insurance policies in the world can't replace the precious paintings and items that they (van lines) have smashed. Then they make comment that they can't find me in there system. What rubbish. In fairness the Christchurch depot only delivered the household lot the pickup in the North Island, same company but.After 8 mths I'm still fuming from the total disregard this firm had for our precious content.People you are warned, oh and what good will looking into it do. Won't bring back the broken household.

It is always recommended to stay with what / who you know . This applies to NZ van Lines .Moved 3 times with them and would highly recommend this business. Super team and very punctual, responsive . Definitely will use this team again .Thank you

Nz van lines chch branch-Agent”Fiona McDonald “ who receives online quote emails and answers the calls at this Christchurch branch is very unprofessional, an email was send on 11jan asking for overseas move (NZ Van Lines – Ref: 652749) to which Fiona asked for the list of items ,has not responded back till date , even when the list of items have been supplied to her twice.After calling the branch today 27 jan 2023 1.26pmFiona answers the call , I wasn’t aware of the fact that agent over the call and emails was same-“Fiona”,after all the conversation she said I will send you an email again in few seconds, pls supply with the list of items again on that email and I’ll respond, which never happened.Extremely disappointing customer service. Very unprofessional service.Not responsive at all.

Moved a container from Canada to NZ during Covid. Challenging at both ends but NV Van Lines talked us through it, kept in regular touch, and coordinated the whole processes as good as it could have been done. The crew unloading at the NZ end, led by Charlie, were quick and friendly. Many thanks!

I recently shifted from Whangarei to Christchurch, the teams in Whg and Chch were absolutely fantastic, very friendly and super efficient. My house lot of furniture arrived on schedule, 8 days from Whg to Chch. Items were placed in my house upon arrival and even the beds were put together for me. I would highly recommend NZ Van Lines. Thanks to both teams for an uneventful shift. :-)

Have never used NZ Van Lines. I gave a bad review because I went to take my granddaughter to school at Redwood one morning only to find an arrogant truck driver had backed the truck up a driveway next to the primary school. He had parked the truck completely over the foot path and a car width out on to the road. I watched young children having to walk out onto Preston's Road at 8.40am trying to get to the front gate. I was totally discussed it is very congested there at the best of times and it just played havoc with cars and children.

Our experience with the whole Ch Ch team was outstanding and set a high level of advice, great communication and very pleasant people to have in our home and all of the above was certainly true of the team who cared for us on arrival of our household goods in Auckland,We cannot recommend more highly.Bob and Delly Davison

I hired NZ Furniture Movers to move from Wgtn to ChCh last year. The Wellington crew were good to deal with, however some of my belongings were damaged in transit.I didn't realise that the ChCh leg of my move would be through NZ Van lines, which was not a great experience.Apparently NZ Van Lines, NZ Movers and The Moving Company are all owned by the same person. They work independently but share resources, trucks and people.When I raised issues regarding my moving experience, the ChCh Branch Manager was very responsive, professional, and keen to put things right to the extent possible.

The Christchurch team were excellent in moving us into our new home. Friendly and professional plus very careful with our belongings. Much better than the Tauranga team who packed us up.
