Scott is a really great bass teacher! He is very professional and patient. He will personalize the songs depending on my preferences. I started from 0 experience to performing a complete song now. A lot of theoretical of music will be learned to truly understand the beauty of music.

Scott has been an amazing teacher for me, he is extremely knowledgeable and has knack for passing on his knowledge. His lessons are highly professional and very well structured. Scott's lessons have given me a whole new understanding and interest in music. I was never keen on music theory until taking lessons with Scott, tho the way scott has introduced me to music theory I definitely now see it in a far different light and realise how important it is to learn and I am now more keen than ever to keep on learning. The lessons were also shaped around my own personal music tastes, which Scott questioned me on during my first lessons, this made it all the more enjoyable.I would recommend Scott to anyone at any level.

Scott is both an amazing teacher and mentor. His lessons are both fun and informative. He listens and is attentive to a student's needs which makes lessons a lot more free-flowing. He ensures to cater for the individual needs of students and makes them feel at home. Lessons with Scott feel more like a lesson with a friend than a strict teacher from school; this only adds to the amazing experience I've received being taught by him over the past 6 years. Scott is such a brilliant teacher. I am an adult with no prior musical experience. He is patient and kind making the lesson thoroughly enjoyable. The fortnightly lessons worked really well for me. I really enjoyed the lesson structure. There was a great mix of theory and rhythm and each lesson ended with playing the music I listen to and enjoyed. I had lessons for two years and only left Scott because I moved away from Auckland. Highly recommend!

I had been playing bass for a couple of years before deciding to take up lessons and I am really happy I chose Scott from Pre Bass Lessons. Scott took things back to basics and helped me really understand the theory behind music and how it relates to playing bass.
