If you are ever on Cuba street in Wellington. Then Scotty and Mals cocktail bar is the place to go. The service here is spectacular and the drinks that come flying out at you are delicious. We didn’t get to see it pumping like it would normally be due to level 2 restrictions in place. But the place was still buzzing with life.Thank you to Scotty, Mal and Matt for the amazing service, tasty drinks and great conversations. The night was so amazing.

Absolutely loved it here! My partner and I were visiting Wellington over a weekend and came here both Friday and Saturday night - the place was really vibing on both nights. The owners have done so well to create a really relaxed and fun space, we’re from Australia and it beats a lot of places there.

Apparently we are not gay enough to get into this place. There's always an issue with it, places like this are why the lgbtq scene in this country its a shame. Oh, and hire nicer bouncers, it's out of touch having that kind of people in the door.

Back in Wellington for a couple of nights and the first time in near 20 years. we had a last minute late night catch up here. Near on closing time they were only to pleased to serve us. It was a step back in time for me with the atmosphere and music. The cocktails we had were great and the grasshopper brought back memories. I miss Wellington so much..must get back again in 2 not 20 years

We visited here on Saturday 25/02/2023 and a fantastic introduction to the beautiful Wellington bar scene. Great cocktails they all look amazing and the guys are passionate about what they do, and a wonderful ambiance to boot. I would highly recommend, and not pay too much attention to the title Gay Bar.
