Food is ok, for the price I paid, I didn’t receive much… the pizza has some bad presentation for what this “Italian”place is trying to be.

Ratana Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria
We have been a couple of times to Ratana and it’s becoming one of our favourites . Tonight we had the Focaccia bread and it was delicious - easily fed four. Followed by a Lamb shank, Bacon Carbonara , Ragu and Chicken pizza - all were delicious and super tasty . A couple of small things - when serving pasta please offer a spoon for the spin /roll. And it’s super chilly inside , noted other people still with their jackets on . Might be hard to fix this with such a high roof . Would recommend and we will be back .

Ambience and overall decor of the restaurant was really good. Drinks were slightly expensive.We ordered two pizzas chicken flavoured. But the chicken chunks were too big. These were slightly dry and flavourless.The chef was really friendly. My partner spoke to him and got all the information we needed to eat comfortably.They should put it on their website to make reservation before coming in. Although it could be that it was a weekend and the restaurant was full.Will visit again!

The food I ordered was fresh ,delicious and expertly prepared in a super clean environment visible to patrons..I did not have any bookings but they still manage to give me a table in busy hours. I am very pleased with the service I got and will definitely visit them again.

Ratana Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria
Myself and my partner had the absolute pleasure of dining at ratana this evening and the food was absolutely incredible. Melt in your mouth steak, to a true Italian pizza. The atmosphere is so welcoming and the staff are all so accommodating and friendly. As I looked around I realized how every table was full of laughs and enjoyment. We are definitely going to be regulars.

The food at Ratana Italian Restaurant is truly tasty. The pizza crust is crispy and flavorful, the pasta is perfectly cooked, and the sauces are rich and satisfying. And the portions are generous, so you definitely won't leave hungry.One area where Ratana Italian Restaurant could improve is in their utensils. Specifically, the knives that were provided did not cut through the meat and pizza as well as one would hope. While this may seem like a small issue, it can certainly detract from the overall dining experience.

Came here for the first time for a takeaway pizza. The service felt like there was something left to be desired however the pizza was delicious and the restaurant decor fantastic and so we made a reservation and came back. The risotto balls were delicious and the carbonara to die for, they did not skimp on the spirit sizes which was very nice. But this time the service really stood out. Our server Luke was absolutely phenomenal. Definitely a restaurant to visit. Welcome to Rolleston. A fine addition.

Yum!!! Had dinner here last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were fantastic even though one of them was new. She was keen to assist us and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was the tastiest I've had in aaaages!! Love love LOVED the ambience. The whole place is decorated so quaintly that it made me feel like I was in Italy again. Loving the diversity of the staff. What a truly welcoming place and one you all need to visit when in Rolleston. I will be back (and will book ahead because they keep booking up)! Thank you Ratana!

Ratana Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria
Came here at the weekend. First impression was fantastic. The whole place was full of happy smiling people clearly enjoying themselves which made me feel relaxed and excited to be there. I had a vegan pizza which was out of this world. Crusts lovely and crisp and the toppings flavoursome and spot-on. My friend had a pasta dish (can't remember the name) and she ate every single piece even though the portion was huge. Cannot fault this place! Managed to fit in a dessert of tiramisu and a chocolate mousse as well. Both excellent and full of flavour. We can't wait to come back and are so grateful that they have opened in our town!

Ratana Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria
Had dinner with friends last night. I enjoyed my gnocchi and tomato sauce and my friends enjoyed their carbonara with mushroom and bacon. Deserts were good too, we tried the pecan pie, affogato, tiramasu and chocolatto. Service was really good, overall a good experience.
