Luggate store, how do you stay open?rude abrupt asain lady that treated me as if I was in her way after I had to yell out to be served, she was out the back, $18 for 2 pies, they are Luke warm and full off fat, so the birds got them, she didn't use tongs or have gloves on, I should of walked out and not paid, I will not go back, $4 for a small can of live, double the price, and it's not a clean shop, drive right pass this one

A great building with loads of character. That's the highlight.Rowena (Jana), the owner, served us only because she had to. She was more interested in eating and what was on her, as was the other female staff member. The stone in the walls have more personality than both of them combined.Overpriced and overcooked food. The sirloin was advertised as 200gm. 100gm would be more accurate.Don't bother stopping with Wanaka and the numerous options it has to offer just down the road.

A bit average and the bar staff were not friendly. I asked for a ginger beer and she kinda grumped at me as if my money was ruining her day.

Went to Lugget pub, store, campground and viewed the famously enginered Red Bridge. Neat little town

Mushroom sauce was from out of packet and was tasteless. Steak was cooked perfect but looked like it had been cut in half for my partners meal. Salad had bitter taste in sauce. Chips were great. Schnitzel was cardboard thin. Disappointed really in their quality. Have visited there before months ago and meal was great. Cannot expect to pay top prices for great chips and half a steak ..$38 steak...etc.

Do not recommend the pub , the barmaid Natasha (I think her name was)had told us the kitchen was closed and only had bar snacks on offer , this would of been fine if this wasn’t said every night for the past three nights . Very unprofessional and will be telling my friends and family not to stop in here , But the general store lovely lovely customer service from the young girl and great coffee.

Great selection of beers. Had whitebait fritters. Delicious. Great venue. Full of atmosphere and a great beer garden outside.

Unfortunately we experienced terrible service at this pub when we called in for a beverage in the middle of summer. The bartender (Rowena) was very unpleasant with no personality, didn’t make drinks such as a lemon, lime and bitters when asked, instead giving a bottle when there were no other customers, ignored us and kept waiting and was very unfriendly. We understand there is a staff shortage across the country and were patient but kindness is key as all customers are still providing business. Perhaps new owners, but we did notice the bar and beer garden/restaurant empty during a hot summers day.
