This used to be our favourite place when we came to Taupo. What has happened?? The cabinet food in non existent, we ordered off the menu and is was OK but definitely not wow just average, and the bathrooms need a revamp or even a clean

Went for breakfast, ended up having lunch. Wait was over an hour but only a handful of people in the place. Asked where our food was and returned question was if we wanted a doggy bag. Then still took 20 minutes for our average food to come. Asked for a refund but brushed us off with a drink. Would not recommend.

Some of the cabnet food looked a bit tired. Coffee was mediocre. Does not look like the toilets have been tidied from 15 June, same half rolls of paper on the table, overful waste basket. Not charming.And on top of that there was a surcharge for the Matariki Holiday.

Came here for brunch a couple of weeks ago. Ordered the avocado on toast, black pudding/eggs, and 2 coffees.The coffees were pretty good, the black pudding/eggs were adequate, but the avocado on toast was a total rip-off. As you can see from the photo attached (which makes it a lot bigger) cost me $18. A banana probably is just as filling. Service was good though, but won't be back for the overpriced food, maybe coffee if desperate. Also the chef need to drop the balsamic garnish, not everyone likes it and it's very dated.

A group of us went out and had brunch at Piccolo on New Year’s Day. Two of us ordered the avocado on toast for $18.00 normal price. One piece of toast with avocado, which seemed more like a guacamole. We think it should have come with 2 pieces of toast and real, fresh avocado to make it worth $18.00. For what we got, it should be about $13.00 but not more. Maybe something to take into consideration for future. Overall everyone felt that their meals were overpriced and ingredients were cheap.

Soooo good! Food was beautiful, especially the rosti. Really good coffee, attentive and friendly staff and super impressed with cleanliness. When staff weren’t busy with customers they were busy with cleaning, so nice to know you’re eating somewhere with so much attention to detail. Will definitely be back!!

We came here in the morning for an espresso and a soy piccolo. A piccolo involves 30ml of milk tops. The gentleman behind the counter proceeded to charge us nearly $13 for two coffees. $2 of which was for the soy milk. I explained that cafes usually charge 50c to have soy milk, and I was only needing a tiny amount, but he charged us anyway. While he made the coffee (which was burned and disgusting as it turned out) I took photos of the receipt and board, which he saw and then gave us $2 back as a gesture of goodwill.If you like espresso, don’t go here. No creamer at all. Just black burned oily water. Terrible.

Beautiful, beautiful kai, the presentation is on point and the flavors will absolutely take you to another level.My daughters, my mokopuna and I would highly recommend this place to those who love Thai kai and for those who are spontaneous and love to try different kai.The staff are very hospitable and lovely which is always a bonus when dining in.
