Awesome little hike - only took about 20 minutes to do the loop. There’s a nice look out over the farmers fields and you can see the mountains in the distance and the sea.The rock formations here are beautiful and it’s filled with various palms!It feels like being transported back in time a million years!Definitely worth the quick stop in

Beautiful!! It looks like a labyrinth, the rocks are surrounded by nature that surrounds them creating a surreal atmosphere.

The Grove Scenic Reserve
Great place to visit. Amazing bush walk through rata and nikau palm forest amongst incredible rock formations. There's a wonderful lookout over Golden Bay as well. Free and easy to get to, with parking. It's a well spent half hour.

What an amazing place. Nikau,silver fern, the odd huge tree, couldn't see the tops, hard to identify. Lovely 15min walk to lookout towards Farewell Spit.Well worth a visit. There's even a sleeping dragon. Administered by DOC, free entry

The Grove Scenic Reserve
It seems many many years ago a huge pile of huge boulders were piled up at this spot. Time and evolution has allowed jungle like vegetation to flourish. Today you have a loop walk which winds its way up through the boulders and plants. At the highest elevation there is a lookout over the river flats and estuary. You can comfortly walk this track in an hour. What a place to take youngsters and their imaginations. This is a special place among these huge boulders to enjoy an hour and ponder the marvel of nature
