Very attentive and helpful staff. Accommodating to dietaries. Humble setting where the food speaks for itself. Cooked to perfection, wine was also delicious. A Wellington experience not to be missed!

We've always been amazed with the food at Field & Green and my favourite there is the Kedgeree. It's a total comfort food for me.That's why my husband and I decided to go for their WOAP Pop Up, Kosher & Spice, and we booked it for last Sunday. We knew we'd be enjoying their food but never did we think they'd exceed our expectations! The owners/chefs and the other chefs took us on a beautiful Jewish Indian cuisine journey. The whole experience just went to show their passion in creating memorable food without compromising on its authenticity. As Malaysians with roots from South India and growing up eating home-cooked Indian food, we were brought home with every bite. It had the right amount of spices blended just right, making us indulge in more and more dishes. Biting into their Thandiya-Chi-Bhakhri (a kind of chapati) with their Brinjal Kasaundi, my husband, Muthu, kept raving about it. That was the first one we had and he said he felt like running to Laura (one of the owners, also a chef there) and hugging her. True enough, when she walked over to serve the Lamb Shank Curry, he got up, hugged her and thanked her for creating such a good Brinjal Chutney which is one of his favourite chutneys. She was pleasantly surprised and felt touched. We then continued ordering more and more, and ended up having one of the most memorable dining experiences.Kudos to the team at Field & Green for bringing Indian cooking to the next level! We can see that you also put lots of love and care into your other dishes on your regular menu as well. We also love the cozy atmosphere there.lf you wanna have good comfort food, you'll never be disappointed there. The service has also always been wonderful. And if you're foodies like us, don't miss this pop-up. Almost all the dishes on this pop-up menu are gluten-free, and about half of them are vegan. Now we can't wait to try their other dishes on their Kosher & Spice menu on their last day of the event. Yes, we've already made another booking!

Update: 27/05/2023Had their proper brunch menu this time. The Red Leicester Scone was so good we ordered a second one. Had the Welsh Rarebit. Very tasty. Just wished the toast was a bit more toasted. The B'silla was so hearty and flavourful and every mouthful, I could feel the chicken and Almond textures all bursting with flavours in my mouth. The pie pastry was super crispy. Loved it. The Fish Finger Brioche was also super yums and Fish was perfectly crispy-battered, paired with the fluffy brioche - so gooood!! And then we had the Orange Treacle which was super decadent. Very satisfying meal indeed. This was one of my Wellington on A Plate journey. And was disappointed they took the Moroccon Lamb off the menu because their suppliers couldn't supply. I tried the:Algerian Lamb Pastry. This was really good. Crispy, flaky pastry loaded with Minced Lamb. Also had the Tunisian Fish Balls. Had to say while it was good, this dish was overly salty. Winner was the Algerian Aniseed Bread. Served warm, it melted in my mouth. I just wished they served this with butter. But the WOAP menu doesn't do butter on the side apparently.

Quite small, limited menu, enjoyed what we had but thought the servings were very small for the price (octopus, tongue brocolli and steak to share) . The wine list was smallish, unstructured and without vintage. Query the $$ rating.

A regular dining establishment for me when in Wellington. Arguably the most consistent eatery in town.Whether brunch, lunch or dinner there is something for everyone here.Give it ago if you haven't you will not be dissapointed.

The food is alright but some of the tables in the restaurant, specially for a small party can be very small. The table I was offered was against the wall and legroom shorter than economy seat on AirNZ. That is, even after adding a note in my reservation note that it’s a special occasion.Unfortunately we had to leave after seeing available table options. For a highly regarded restaurant, squeezing so many tables felt a bit desperate to maximize seating capacity.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoy the Chefs Bar experience. We have gone twice already. It is fascinating seeing the inner workings of a restaurant kitchen on a busy night while enjoying a delicious five course meal (with very generous portions). My husband was very impressed with the wine matches with very generous pours. If you want an entertaining night out with tasty food at a reasonable price, this place is for you. I definitely recommend the marmalade ice cream too!

Liked the decor and some attention to details. For example groovy table cloths, original lighting and fancy crockery and cutlery. Very helpful wait staff. Food was tasty, but felt some items are just missing “wow” factor. Polenta chips were fresh, crunchy outside and soft and tender inside, delicious squid dish, but steak even cooked to perfection but was rather cold when arrived. Would recommend homemade ice cream and sorbet - very tasty. Great desert to finish. Would like to try chefs table, looked interesting and well set.

Menu looked interesting but presentation was extremely uninteresting and plain and food largely was as it looked. Great disappointment as I've had excellent meals in the past but perhaps a new chef? Will not be going back any time soon. Acoustics remain poor.. Very hard to hear what is being said..
