It has a short walking track at both sides of the road, it is good place to stretch your legs when you are way in or way out between Taupo and Napier. It has a toilet too, but only at the Northbound side of road.

Great loop track on Southern side of main road. Plenty of good native birds including Whitehead, Long-tailed Cuckoo and Tomtit. Not too strenuous.

Great free short walking tracks only a short drive from Taupo - a perfect place to stretch your legs after the drive. There are carparks and a toilet here too, and a small battle memorial which is interesting for history nerds.

Lovely walk through the bush complete with mature podocarp trees. Nice level tracks with gravel suitable for young children.

Easy walk, took our toddler. Plenty of parking. Granted area to sit on. Some seats wouldn't hurt though for elderly people. Otherwise, a good spot to stop and stretch the legs.
