Centrale restaurant at Clarence
A table of 12 on a quiet Tuesday lunchtime. Over 80mins wait for our meals with little to no effort or acknowledgment by staff for how long we waited for our food. Surrounding tables that were seated after us all had their meals. We would of appreciated more communication on delays and compensation. We had also made a booking for the large table ahead of time.

I sat in the bar area so it is more relaxed but that was perfect since I was just with my brother. The pizzas are divine and the cocktail was very fresh.

I was there 3 weeks ago, food was delicious and service was awesome, I don't know the name of the waitress, but she was amazing! excellent service!! very much recommended for a drink, a meal or both

Love it here! Our go-to place for great cocktails and food. Good ambiance, a lot of drinks selection to choose from, comfortable seating, opens everyday and even for breakfast! Will definitely keep coming back even for just some casual drinks with friends.

Located in the beautiful old post office building (built 1905) that is the Clarence Hotel, Centrale provides a relaxed atmosphere with a warm and welcoming ambience.I got the Lamb Ragu Lasagna that was absolutely delicious and is rated in the top 3 pasta dishes I've had. Perfect for a cold winters evening. My partner got the Pappardelle that was also very nice. No problems with quality of food here! Enjoyed the cocktails too, with Journeys End being my favourite.A big shout out to Luka, who waited on us and was excellent. He was very helpful when we were navigating the menu, providing top notch advice.The only disappointment causing me to drop a star is the front of house, who neither seem friendly or welcoming. First time we tried to dine here some time ago, we ended up leaving having been completely ignored. This time was better, but still felt like we were a bit of a nuisance. Only minor in the grand scheme but perhaps something to work on.

Made a reservation for a 12pm midweek lunch for a group- we were the only people here when we arrived. Food (just pizzas to share) took 1.5 hours to arrive with pretty much no apology or acknowledgement for the wait. Perhaps don’t waste your time unless you like massive wait times and no customer service.

Such a lovely restaurant. I know it's meant to be the bar but you don't lose any part of the experience.The whole meal was great as were the drinks.

Really nice place, casual, but a great vibe. Fries with truffle and parmesan -fabulous. The pizza again, well Mr L doesn't like pizza,, but gave in to me and he loved it. Cheese,mushroom, ham & truffle, on a perfectly thin base.Going back in Feb to try their signature, just refurbished restaurant.
