So not only do they charge $4.30 for 1 scoop of average chips which looks on the small side, but they also have the cheek to charge a 1.5% fee for using EFTPOS.So after I complained that the chips were already dear enough, why are you trying to rip me off even more, the Chinese male didn't appear to understand my perfect English question. So no I won't go there again. Oh and Thorndon new world is even worse ... They charge $5'for cold chips that are soaked in fat.Where are the decent quality, reasonable fish shops? NOT IN THORNDON

Went to Starfish Fish & Chips as a rebound from my normal fish and chip shop as it was closed. Based on my normal fish and chip shop I thought that I would get way to many chips for my five scoops. Sadly when I got my five scoops this is all I got. Never going back. Worst fish and chip shop

Hands down the freshest, best value for money and cleanest fast food (fish 'n chips) in the city in my humble opinion. The size of each well presented food parcel has always impressed and when I need my FnC fix, I head to Starfish...I'm also happy to recommend them to my network of fish fry fans.

Good fish and chips - I would go again! The chips were very above average (and good portion size), and the fish was good for a takeaway: not soggy, and not over fried or dried out.

All of the yes. The best little chippy in NZ. If you head to New World for lunch - give this place a try. Fresh great quality food, friendly service and super cheap - you will be converted.

Highly recommend trying out the new hot and spicy chicken burger. Best chicken burger I’ve had. Nicely marinated and juicy chicken and fresh salad served with beer battered chips (for extra but definitely worth the extra buck). I’ve never had a better burger served to me from a fish n chip store. Will definitely be going out of my way to get these burgers for lunch and waiting for the day they start dinner burgers.

Fast, fresh and very tasty. Some of the very best kumara chips we’ve had.Just a hint if you are not from Wellington and you drove to Starfish: when you leave the New World parking lot, you will have to follow Molesworth right and north. Don’t take the first possible left off Molesworth if you want to go back to Wellington. That left will put you on the SH1 Motorway north, with no way to exit for at least 12 km, all the way up the hill at Johnsonville! Wait until Molesworth gets to Tinakori.
