We had the most amazing stay! Wonderful and welcoming hosts, beautiful land, and a fantastic accommodation arranged with style and a lot of love and care, lots of personal touches.The hot tub under the starts was magnificent especially as we were lucky to observe the full moon eclipse!Definitely one of the top experiences we’ve had in New Zealand.

Incredible private location just outside of Twizel. Accommodations were very comfortable and kitchen was one of the most useful of all the AirBNBs we’ve stayed in. The hot tub was easy to use and a treat against the cool evening with light misting. The shared garage space is a testament to the creativity of the hosts. Wish we had more time here! Excellent local recommendations for the balance of our trip.

Great and comfortable place to stay! Beautiful view of stars with a nice wood fired hot tub to enjoy. Amy was very helpful and communicative during check in. We also really enjoyed the fresh bread and breakfast items. Would recommend a stay! Thank you for a great experience and we are glad we stopped here on our journey of the South Island.

Stunning cottage with amazing starry skies above. The wood fired hot tub makes for a gorgeous treat (even on chilly nights!). One of the loveliest places I've ever stayed!

We stayed in MenardsNZ Ecosanctuary for three nights, which was an amazing experience!The rooms are nice and cosy, the view is breathtaking and the kitchen contains everything needed.The outdoor hot tub is great!Amy & Jason are really lovely friendly hosts.We'll be back!

Perfect cosy getaway just outside Twizel and within the Dark Sky reserve. A fun experience with the woodfire bathtub outdoors, looking up into the milkyway, seeing shooting stars etc. Very lovely hosts and clean impeccable details. Highly recommended.Very close to Lake Ohau which was magical too.

Amazing place and great hosts. Both Amy and Jason were lovely, and very helpful whenever we needed them. The cottage was extremely tidy, clean, and so cozy. Couldn't recommend them enough, and looking forward to going back!

Amazing place, away from town and traffic. The hot tub you won't want to get out of nor the house because it has a fire place which keeps it cozy and warm! The house has everything you need! Highly recommended

Really can't speak highly enough of my stay here - it's the trifecta of a tranquil location, beautiful/modern cabin, and exceptionally helpful + welcoming host!Even on a slightly cloudy night, the stars were incredible (esp. from the hot tub!). The house is modern + clean, and the kitchen is well-stocked with ~any supplies you might need.Amy was super responsive both ahead of booking, and also helped us get settled in (including teaching me how to use the wood-fired hot-tub - really cool!).Really just perfect all-around.

Hands down the best place we've stayed in Aotearoa. Amy and Jason are the most generous hosts. We were looking for a comfortable base for exploring the Mackenzie region, but arriving to a freshly stoked hot tub and fire, thoughtfully curated playlists, massive TV, and delicious breakfast supplies really was above and beyond our expectations. The location is amazing - in and of itself with the most incredible views (we were there in a crisp winter, but I imagine it's uniquely gorgeous every season) - and an easy drive arrive from Aoraki (Mt. Cook - pictured) Don't hesitate to book Menards NZ if you're wanting to experience the very best of the beautiful South Island.
