Lovely place to go for a walk or read a book in the shade, good place to kick a ball or through a frisbee, the observatory is rather nice as well, and opposite the golf club is rather handy.

Its a park :-) Large flat field surrounded by the town belt with the Beverley Begg Observatory on the east side.

The location of the Beverly Begg Observatory run by the Dunedin Astronomical Society. Well worth a visit on their open nights. (weather dependant, but Sundays through non-daylight savings months)
