Great church and authentic community. Our boys love it here! Oscar sees it as an extension of his home.

Fake Christian cultists who blast bass-heavy, non-Christian music at ungodly hours from a premises with zero soundproofing, while lacking even the common human decency to advise residential neighbours of their intention to do so beforehand. Avoid at all costs. Do not send your children here.

We were looking for a church to commit ourselves to, as well as be blessed by. We're delighted to have found the Upper Room, a highlight of the week for us.

My family visited The Upper Room on January 29, 2023. The music, setting, scripture, sermon and especially people were all amazing. The holy spirit was in this space. I was particularly impressed with the devotion of the church attendees to the singing and fellowship. We were visiting Auckland from the States and made such good new friends at the Church that they invited us over for dinner later in the week. We plan to come back next time we are in Auckland.A couple of specifics:The intermediates (ages 10-14) program is exceptional. It is lead by Christopher who seeks to really engage the kiddos in quality conversation. My kids said it was the best kids program they had ever attended. The Service:The service started out with singing a mix of Hymns and contemporary songs on the Piano. This was followed by a time of silence and then taking communion and lighting a candle. The sermon was preached by a guest preacher and moved by my husband and myself. Many take-aways for the week to come. The time finishes with more singing and a Benediction.Pastor Craig:This is a man who is truly working for his Church. We visited during a time of the Auckland Floods and pastor had been up all night cleaning the Church. He got his MDiv from Duke (North Carolina, USA) and is a gentle man who loves the Lord.Overall - visit this Church. It is worth your time. God is here.

A woke postmodern liberal marxist community. Female Pastors = Biblically Unqualified. They are a disgrace and openly reflect opposition to the Living Word of God.1 Corinthians 14:33-35.1 Timtohy 2:11-12.

American style evangelicals. The lead pastor preaches protrump, anti Greta Thunberg talking points. He deleted his sermons when the a congregation member join the National Party.

I visited here with my family on a trip to Auckland. We were a little hesitant because there are a couple of reviews that seemed really out of context - both very negative, both accusing this church of the opposite positions, and neither based on an actual visit to the church. From our morning spent here, we loved it. The community was extremely welcoming. The service was balanced between beautiful song, contemplative reading, solid preaching, and an atmosphere of genuine love for the people there and larger community in Auckland and New Zealand. We visited right after the 2023 Auckland flooding event so the church’s lower portion and offices were flooded. The senior pastor wasn’t preaching because he was mopping up water and cleaning up damaged materials (we went downstairs later and got to meet him and others). Overall, I’d highly recommend a visit here before passing judgement, as I would for any church.

I am not a big church goer , but I loved this church. Good mix of ages from young to old, you could feel the Life and Fire in the people there, modern, but not new agey anything goes" modern. The music wasn't blasting loud. It was beautiful and you could still hear your voice & the voice of others
