I got the hangi meal and the kai burger boy oh boy did it hit the spot. If you want a hangi then this is the spot. Fried bread wasn’t as dry as I’m used to but was still yum. Burger was beautifully presented even after Uber eats and everything hot hot hot because of the foil.

Pretty good seafood and raw fish here. They don’t always have Hangi available so check beforehand. Very friendly service and the place had a homely vibe to it.

Came here for breakfast in the April school holidays. Cafe was quiet so service was quick and staff were friendly. Ordered:- Pukana Breakfast…filling, yummy mince, soft and fluffy toast- Paua Pie…amazingly buttery and flaky pastry, tasty filling but I would’ve like more Paua over cream- Seafood Chowder…the fried bread was huge and buttery, chowder was tasty and salty.

Loved the food!! Was flavourful and loaded (pun intended since I ordered loaded fries lol) abit disappointed with the amount of sour cream. Had a few chips left but I didn’t have any sour cream. However super happy with what I ordered and would definitely come again :))

Aww what can I say..Perfection, yummiest kai...frybread is so yummm and mine aren't too bad but theirs are right up there..My whanau visiting from USA were wowed...

It ain't Rotorua without a hangi shop, rated 4 stars coz hangi is soggy & no puha/watercress but the fried bread is off the hook & the place is still liked by others. Maybe ill try the seafood if i ever come back
