OATH. great for sunsets as well as sun rises. lots to explore including tunnels, tracks, buildings, beaches, rocks. helpful information plaques on the historical aspects of the mountain

Really unhelpful doc ranger at office computer. Told us to use computers. No people in shop so he wasn't even busy. Thanks for nothing.

Turned up at 4:30 to ask some questions about sand casting and if they sell brazing wire. I was really excited to talk to them because it looks like they did interesting stuff.I made a joke and was told and I quote Im not interested in talking to you I want to go home.' The sign on the gate says open till 5 so I felt like it was an okay time to visit. I have no idea what their products or services are like because despite asking they weren't interested in talking to me. When I said I was actually interested in purchasing stuff from them the said they didn't care. I can be a bit shy and awkward around people but I really hope none of their other customers have experienced this. Was a real 1 star end to my day."

Came in on a rainy day, took myself for the tour & it was amazing.Umbrellas & hiking sticks available.Went to the lookout & it was fantastic.The only suggestion I would say, is to have more markers of how far away you are from the lookout as you’re walking.There is also the option to hike up Braddicks track, about an 8 hour loop, but you must let staff know as the car park closes at 6pm.Watched the Eels get fed & saw plenty of birds in the averys. The staff were very kind & informative.$24 per adult but half price if you’re a local from Featherston to Danniverke.10/10

A great way to repurpose one of New Zealand's defence locations. With a vast ground on the hill for you to walk around there are also plenty of locations to see beautiful Auckland water views. Also have several huts" playing the history of the area: each hut plays different part of the history of the place."

I recently visited Pukaha National Wildlife Centre and I must say it was a great experience! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and the facilities were well-maintained and clean.The wildlife was great, and it was amazing to see these animals in their natural habitats.In addition to being a great place to learn about and observe wildlife, this reservation plays an important role in conservation efforts. It's clear that the staff is dedicated to protecting the animals and their habitats.I highly recommend visiting Pukaha National Wildlife Centre for anyone who loves nature and birds and wants to learn more about conservation efforts.I wish there were more to see - but! We have seen some under-construction marks - hopefully, they will expand soon!
