Outboard Boating Club

I've been a member for a couple of years now. The facilities are pretty great when it comes to launching and retrieving your boat. I thought the joining fee was a little steep but the yearly membership fee is pretty reasonable given the quality of the facilities. I've met a few of the staff and they've all been great. They run a number of events which are generally well organised and cover a variety of boating appetites. They also do some great stuff for the community including helping with the restoration of islands in the Waitemata harbour; sponsoring the 'Revive our Gulf' organisation; and working with iwi to recycle fish heads and frames. The main clubrooms are due for an upgrade (I think planning is underway) which would make for an even better club allround.

OBC is the boating club for trailer boats, jetskis, and marina type boats. The club house is for all members and has a bar and coffee. A very nice place to watch other boats come and go. Be entertained watching the ramp.Learn how to .... from other members offering to teach you.Club fishing and other events. Family events.We support Legasea and other projects to make our Hauraki Gulf a great place to go boating.

First time here, fishing trip was totally unsuccessful, but what a great place. Must join.

The space was so cozy and intimate, with comfortable seating throughout, and plenty of natural light spilling in through the windows. The boat shed was also impeccably clean and well-maintained, which added to the overall experience.The best part, of course, was the breathtaking views of the water. Regardless of which direction you looked, you were treated to a stunning panorama of blue skies and shimmering waves. It was the perfect place to sit and watch the boats gently rocking on the dock, or to simply soak up the sunshine and enjoy the serene surroundings.All in all, I would highly recommend a visit to the boat shed to anyone looking for a peaceful and picturesque escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. It truly is a wonderful little haven that is sure to leave you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated, and I can't wait to come back again soon!
