Great for kids and the family! We were fortunate enough to have dinner here tonight. Chicken Schnitzel was large and tasty, steak was cooked well and the kids pizza was massive.However the best part of the meal was the engaging, friendly & funny staff we had the privilege of meeting.

It was really nice to go back to the place that I used to drink at. It brought back memories. unfortunately, the restaurant part was closed due to upcoming renovations, and so we ate in the sports bar. The food was good but really the menu wasn't that expensive.

We dined at the restaurant for a birthday meal as a group of eight (all early - mid 30s). The dining room was spacious and clean and the staff was wonderfully helpful. The food was deeeelicious! We ordered a variety of meals, from the insanely portioned entrees to the generous mains, and everybody loved what they ordered. It was all fresh, clearly prepared onsite and cooked perfectly. We had a lovely night enjoying the relaxed atmosphere and good food. We will definitely be returning soon!

Rooms very nice and warm. Pub downstairs always busy but have good food. Quiz nights every Tuesday is very popular.

Chicken in the burger was amazing. Steak eggs and chips was cooked perfectly. Both good sized portions, we left feeling full. Also stayed at the motel attached and it was up to date and fairly priced. Great service on both sides.

Dined here for lunch yesterday on our way back from Akaroa. Unfortunately there was only one poor soul doing everything from front of house, to bar tending/serving/clearing etc, but she did it all with a smile and cheerfulness. The lunchtime menu isn't exactly extensive (about 5-6 options), however, the beer battered fish and chips we had were certainly worth the wait (about 15 minutes). Very fresh and tasty for $20. Got a free drink due to a mix-up which was appreciated. Would definitely return.
