Fantastic Canivore Pizza, best pizza I've had in ages. Big breakfast was good but the pickle added nothing but a vinegar sharpness which seems like a strange addition and very small slices of toast, otherwise as decent as other similar offerings elsewhere. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere.

I recently dined at Long Beach Tavern with a large group. The food was amazing and the staff were lovely, helpful and bubbly. The overall atmosphere was comfortable, warm and inviting. I also loved that it is wheelchair accessible as a member of the group is confide to a wheelchair.Thanks for a great afternoon team.

Absolutely divine food. A couple of vegan options including a vegan dessert. The cocktails were the real stars of the show. Service was excellent, I highly recommend

Absolutely shocking service. Told at 11.28am that we couldn't order from lunch menu (available from 11.30am) - couldn't even order and wait for the two minutes to put the order through. Asked the waitress to return at 11.30 then for us to order (at that stage less than 2 minutes). By 11.39am we gave up and left. Saw the waitress taking everyone else's orders...won't go back.

Cosy and classy place close to the beach. Loved the vibe, the food and the team especially the lass with beautiful eyes that looked after me and my friends, from accommodating us earlier than the reservation to the drink choices. Also, the lad that has done the best Margarita for me. Thanks, guys and see you soon.

Very enjoyable late lunch at Long Beach Tavern. It was around 2pm on a Monday yet was still relatively busy when we arrived - a sign that somewhere really is good! My boyfriend had the Piccante pizza, I had eggs on toast with herbed mushrooms and we shared some of the twice-cooked chips. All food was well presented and tasty, I’d happily return here when I am next out in Waikanae and would certainly recommend giving it a visit if you haven’t already!
