WH is a busy place with both commercial and leisure maritime activities on the water itself, plus associated port and recreational activities on the land side. The Wellington Waterfront stretch is the most popular, public part within the city and comprises Queens Wharf, the Walkway, Te Horo section and Clyde Quay. From here the waterfront continues along the ever-so-popular Oriental Parade with its marina, beaches, playgrounds and beyond.Across the harbour you will find boating and other water activities from various water-sport clubs all over greater Wellington, especially once winter is over. At the heart of all WH activity is the traffic from cargo, cruise ships and the ferries (Bluebridge, Interislander, East-by-West). WH is constrained by the surrounding hills on the landward side.

Beautiful area for a walk or to stop for lunch at the many cafés/restaurants. Lots of adventures available such as cruises, helicopter rides, a playground for children to papa museum a short walk away which offers hours of entertainment and learning.

This Harbour has a lot going on as well as a few plaques to remind us all about the history it. This is a really huge Harbour and that it has a place where people can ride their boats on the water and also on the dock that you can ride your bike. There was a few things going on like some Kongo music and some food vendors.
