Westport Kiwi Holiday Park & Motels

we were just visting and cooking with a friend who booked a stay at this place. at 9pm a angry woman threw us out and we could not even finish our cooking out of nowhere. we asked about the reason and our friend immediately got kicked out aswell. worst camping place of new zealand!! and we have bin to quite a lot. she even called the police on us when we packed our stuff in order to prepare for leaving. the police was nice and told us everything was alright and we can finish cooking on the street before we decided to leave out of thoughtfulness. never again

We camped and found some of the nicest, flat, lushly grassed tent areas that we have come across. One area that had better shelter was a little more battered but overall a good campsite. We didn't check out the rooms or cabins so no opinion there. Showers and loos functional and clean. Good little kids playground and some very colourful parrots to look at.

We stayed three nights in February, on a tent site with shade, which was great on the two sunny days. The kitchen area is clean and convenient. There is a large outdoor seating area, covered over, which was great on the rainy day. The showers were clean, with plenty of hot water. Plenty of trees and plants, and an affectionate camp cat. We enjoyed Westport, and it's a nice walk out at the cape, and we saw baby seals.

Margaret at kiwi holiday park was fantastic, after a hard day on the road it was refreshing to be met with a friendly smile and some good kiwi banter, when I had some issues with the TV, Margaret came over in the pouring rain and sorted it straight away. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again

It’s fine to spend a night and charge up your motorhome. It got all the basics, but the place is in desperate need of some tlc. Wouldn’t recommend it for a longer stay.

Lovely spot. Pet Friendly. A great playground for kids. Plus a mini golf course! Lovely clean facilities. Friendly staff. Plenty of powered and uncovered sites.A+.

Negative 5 stars The pits booked for a nice cabin paid a good price given a total holeAvoid at all costs free at the beach way better option..I would never go here ever. Worst place in nz

We stayed in the chalet and it way a very comfortable 4 night stay with our toddler.It was Clean on arrival. Playground at our doorstep with amazing trampoline. Kitchen clean and convenient for cooking and doing the dishes. Enough areas to chill when it was raining. Fridge in our chalet was good. But for camping guests there is also a shared very big fridge. Showers were clean and hot. Mini golf course was amazing and original with holes named after locations in the area.Also it was an easy walk/ride to Westport center and the supermarket. Only minor point is that free wifi is limited and unlimited wifi is paid.. However, the chalet was very good value for money so we were fine with this. Thanks!
