NZ Top Mover

Do not use. If I could give zeros stars, I would. We booked a month out from our move. This company took a deposit to 'secure' their services. I emailed to confirm a week prior and was told we were good to go. At 1130pm the night before the move, I received an email saying they would be 2 hours late for our start time. I called the company 3 times in the morning, leaving increasingly worried emails as we had to be out of our place that day. No response. So we had to book another company to meet our deadlines for the move. I received a call from NZ Top Mover 4 hours after the agreed start time saying they were 5 minutes away, after not returning any of my earlier calls. I informed them I had booked another service (at 3 times the cost) and relayed my anger at their lack of professionalism. He responded that I was liable to use their service as I had paid a deposit and they would take me to court if I reneged on the contract. He then said his 'boys' were coming to do the job regardless. I kicked off over the phone and then never heard back. We used Smart Express in the end, actual legends. Avoid this cowboy outfit at all costs. Harry and his team haven't even responded to my emails about the no show, and still haven't returned my deposit. Moving is stressful, don't make it worse by having these guys not show up on the day.

The service of moving is very good,They are very calm and polite and I would ask their services again.They are before the time and also the team over phone is very fast to respond.

I booked this company for a Saturday, but got the keys to new house earlier and was able to change the booking to the next morning, very accommodating and flexible. Communication was superb, called me to say they would be 15 mins late. Sorted the job professionally without any issues. Great work, highly recommend.

I found this move remarkably easy. I am extremely pleased with the way everything was handled from beginning to end . Very pleasant young men fast workers . Couldn’t have had better service,excellent contact with Josephine throughout thank you all .

I have never left a one star review before, butthe service from this company was truly awful. They were so unreliable and I would not recommend them to anyone.They didn’t show, despite confirming the day before. We were left scrambling to find other options on the day we had to move out.If they were not capable of doing the job we would rather that they did not accept the job, so we could have made alternative plans. Moving houses is already a stressful experience, but these guys made it ten times more stressful. Really poor form, and shows a total lack of respect for their clients.

Definitely one of the easiest move I've had! Prompt communication and responses to my queries. The guys showed up on time (even earlier than expected, which was great). They worked around our chaos and were super fast and friendly. The move was a short distance and even then they worked efficiently and got the job done. Highly recommended and would use again without hesitation. Thanks team!

Used these guys for 1st time to move, the movers were very rough with my furniture, also broke one of my lamp shades & didn't tell me. I wrote in to let them know & they didn't reply. I won't be using them again.

I was getting quite anxious based on the recent reviews, but glad that I proceeded with the booking.Communication wise, NZ Top Mover were not as responsive in the beginning which got me quite worried. Thankfully it got better. Apparently they had technical issues with their emails, but it got resolved and they were able to help me plan my move.On the day, the driver arrived 30 minutes earlier than expected. Luckily, I was awake at that time, but I'm sure they would've contacted me.Overall, I'm very happy with the service from NZ Top Mover. They're flexible and were able to help me move on a public holiday.

Terrible service. Booked my move 2 months in advance, try to contact again and their email address doesn't work. Then I call up to get help and the guy lies and says the email got taken down and should be fixed. Wait 2 days. Nothing. Call back, and he says they can't go ahead because he's broken up with his partner who runs the business but I was left waiting with no contact as to what was happening and had to call back myself, I'm sorry this guy has had a rough time but I expect a certain level of professionalism without bringing your personal life into it when you're dealing with customers. I'm so disappointed at the lack of communication as moving is stressful and a big deal.

I have moved a lot and this was the best moving experience I have ever had. Was so easy to book and they came at short notice. Friendly and reliable
