Very nice kebabs, always well cooked and with generous servings. Quite a limited menu but this is more than made up for by the genuine hospitality and friendliness of the staff. You will come back for more once you try them!

To be honest, was a very average kebab...lacked flavour and quite expensive for what it is. Chips were also terrible.

Had eaten here a few years ago and they was good standard kebabs, unfortunately it has regressed. The meat was flavorless and sauce was overdone (leaking everywhere). We also ordered a side of baklava - the syrup was excessive and the packing not tight so leaked through all the other food.A positive was the chips which were very nice

Ok so I am a bit of a Kebab connisseur visiting New Plymouth for a couple of weeks. Ordered 3 for the family as Sumela was round the corner. We all had large kebabs. They were huge, with lots of meat, excellent value for money and very tasty. I would highly recommend these kebabs. Chips were also superb. Garlic bread was ok. Overall I was very suprised, larger kebabs were very good value and when I return will come straight to Sumela Kebab next time. Staff were friendly and prices very reasonable. Parking right outside.

Have an offer on the sidewalk, $18 for med kebab, chips and drink (can).Didn’t see it, 12:30pm.Ask for a dinner for 2 promo, same food, $46 vs $36. They advertise a 500ml drink on the photo, only give a can. Rip off, lost a loyal customer.
