Yes Rentals Christchurch Branch

We were very happy with our experience with Yes Rentals Christchurch Branch. They worked with our budget and got us a nice clean hybrid with great mileage, AC worked fine and car handled wonderfully in our loop around the south island. They went out of their way to give us a positive experience, making an extra effort to get the car ready when we showed up three hours early, allowing us to add a day when we weren't going to be able to return the car on time and then refunding us for that extra day when our flight plans changed and we returned the car as originally scheduled. Our plans kept changing and they went the extra mile to keep us on the road. They also dropped us at our airport hotel after we returned the car...for free! Lastly I appreciate that they have bilingual staff as I speak English but it was also nice to be able to communicate in Mandarin, my native tongue. They made us feel that we were valued customers and I value the quality, honesty and efforts of their service and would not hesitate to use them on my next visit to Christchurch.

Got a rental car in Christchuch, good price and a nice car. Airport pick up and drop off included. Hassel free service and would be happy to use Yes Rentals again. Book woth them direct to get a good package.

Very friendly staff and although a little short staffed I was more than happy for the price compared to other rental companies. Car was clean and tidy and even if it was a bit dirty or whatever it wouldn't have bothered me for $50 a day. Also the $22 a day for no excess is reasonable too. I know some have had bad experience e looking at reviews but ours was awesome. I also think some people expect premium service at budget price. Exceeded my expectations

Avoid Yes Rentals in Christchurch!Our experience with Yes Rentals at 152 Orchard Road, Harewood, Christchurch 8053 was highly disappointing.As visitors to New Zealand, my husband and I faced significant issues that raise concerns about their conduct and adherence to consumer protection and tourism regulations.The car we received didn't match the model we booked online, and the Branch Manager's response was dismissive and rude, saying, 'What do you expect when you rent it cheap?'Safety became a major concern when they handed us a car with the key already in the ignition and the engine running. Shockingly, the key was broken and held together with duct tape. This posed a significant risk, especially on New Zealand's remote and winding roads. When we requested a replacement key, they treated it as if it wasn't important and even hung up on us!Only after our motel owner stepped in did Yes Rentals take action. However, the locksmith they arranged arrived two hours late, displaying a complete lack of professionalism. His comment, 'This isn't Asia, it doesn't mean we will come immediately when you call,' was offensive and uncalled for. The repair process wasted 1 ½ days of our trip and left us deeply disappointed.We urge fellow travelers to avoid Yes Rentals. Your safety should never be compromised, and companies in the tourism industry must be held accountable for their actions.

They provide prompt pick-up service. The girl who picked us up gave us a very enthusiastic introduction to the interesting tourist attractions in Christchurch. The vehicle I rented was in expected condition. There are no additional surcharges. All in all a satisfying experience.

Unfortunately I don’t have much good to say about Yes Rentals. We picked up our car from the Christchurch Airport branch to find a very rushed employee who skipped through all the terms & conditions with us, didn’t give us any physical or emailed copies of any records or receipts and didn’t even tell us anything about the car (petrol type included! We had to guess). Not to mention we were given a fairly old car which happened to have no faults until we were on day 2 of our two week trip around the island! Our car didn’t start, I spent 3 hours on the phone with Yes Rentals to which they replied they couldn’t do anything about it and I had to get in touch with AA for recovery. I was told by Yes Rentals I had to pay $195 NZD for AA which I could later claim back (no help or guidance on this and still waiting…). Thankfully they did come to help, although the Yes Rentals employee on the phone when this occurred was nothing but rude, unprofessional and unhelpful.I wouldn’t ever hire a car through Yes Rentals again and I wouldn’t recommend anyone else to either! Absolute shambles of a company.

Great value for money. We needed a Toyota as pur car seat has isofix base. The Aqua met our needs and was very economical.

Good car, great service, very accommodating staff.Allowed me to pick up the car a couple of hours earlier; picked me up from the hotel; I was on my way in no time.Return was even easier - just dropped the cars with the keys, got into the shuttle to my terminal, no delays whatsoever.
