Allenby Park Hotel

Could be a really nice and handy place to stay in Auckland BUT . . . . . . .Firstly they need to do some serious maintenance, carpets in hallways were filthy and stained, room was only marginally better. The lift needs attention, so slow it is ridiculous taking a full minute to go from ground to first floor (no choice but to use as I have mobility problems and stairs are out of the question)One example at lack of cleaning - On arrival there was a bit of rubbish on the floor in the lift and when we left 3 days later that same piece of rubbish was still there.Room was big enough but could have had a microwave oven, especially considering it was a suite". Not worth the $170.00 a night I had to pay. ($510.00 for 3 night stay) Towels just thrown on the beds for days 2 and 3 instead of being put in bath area. Beds were not made but basically just "pulled up" the way kids do when they are told to make their beds. Cleaners are pretty so-so it seems and certainly could have been a lot better.Hard to recommend. My advice - close the place for a couple of weeks

Good level of privacy. Secure parking right outside our room made it very convenient as we were on the move alot during our stay. Comfy beds and the room was very clean. Didn't like being woken up for house keeping tho. There's no do not disturb" tags. Overall a good experience :)"

Location Location Location is right on 10 out of 10 .Service and housekeeping I would rate 3 out 5 .Rooms are alright rating it 8 out of 10.Service is lacking Laundry service paying $4 a wash for self service but there's no drying service and also nowhere to hang your clothes in room or elsewhere.Not even a air dryer in rooms are available.This hotel is accommodating for Emergency Housing issues at the meantime .Vacancies won't be available unless referred from a government agency or service.The staff are friendly and kind of helpful when available.

Disappointed with phone service. As he answered my phone call with just a hello as I wasn't to sure what motel I rang, I then asked him what motel was this, then he replied and hung up. So I rang again he picked up phone and was having a conversation between them selves I wasn't to sure if it was the answer phone as they were speaking Indian, I then said hello and he replied hello. I mean what kind of service is this. Phone customer service needs to improve.

No towels on arrival although supplied promptly by staff. Bed comfortable and good pillows. Had tea & coffee in room. Location okay. Not really my kind of place. Was booked by my company so I can't comment on value.

This is the filthiest hotel I have ever stayed at. Booked bed and breakfast, but breakfast was served cold every day. We were unable to the get hot milk for our coffee. Rooms aren't cleaned daily. You have to pay an extra charge for your room to be cleaned. Carpets are stained, walls are dirty, bathroom floors are disgusting and staff are not very helpful. Half of the lights weren't working in the room we stayed in. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The photos on there website are not a true reflection of the hotel. It is dirty, dirty, dirty

The hotel is in desperate need of paint, the inside of the lift had graffiti all over the doors. The bathroom was horrendous! There is mold on the ceiling above shower door and no ventilation. The shower fluctuates from scalding hot to cold. The bedding was clean and it was fairly quiet, I would never stay here again!

Allenby motel is in the ideal spot in terms to two great shopping malls. Hunters Plaza shopping mall is 10 minutes walk. In the other direction is Manukau shopping mall is 20 minutes walk.There is a bus stop right outside the motel.There is a great skate park inside the park.

For emergency housing was happy to stay somewhere with a roof over my head. But no cooking facilities in small rooms, was domestic violence and randoms rocking up at night asking if wanting to score lol.But staff were awesome and got clean towels daily if we put dirty ones out
