Avoid this business completely. I would give a negative score if possible. I took my AV receiver in 5 months ago, I rang after I had not heard anything a couple weeks later. I was told the tech was looking at it. A few weeks later I rang and was told I would be called back in 5 minutes, they never rang so I had to call. I was told the same thing. I left it another week and I was told that they were waiting on parts and it would be a week. When I rang back a week later I was told the same thing. They then stopped taking my calls and 5 months later I had to ring another store and threaten legal action to get a response. 2 days later I recived a text saying it was fixed and ready for collection. I picked it up and paid the repair fee without an apology. When I got home I plugged it in and found they had not fixed it at all.

I had an interesting experience with these guys. I rang and asked them about a possible repair to my TV. I was put off by the person that answered the phone. He was not an asset to the business. After looking around at other businesses I did end up back with them. They were helpful with advice for the repair and ordered the part. But it then took 3 weeks after the part ended up at their wrong store. Communication was zero from them. We had to keep following up to find out what was happening. Eventually we got the TV back. There have been no further problems and I thought the price was resonable.

Is customer service dead? It certainly appears to be at Coastal Electronics, I took my AV receiver in for repair, I was told they would investigate the problem and come back to me in 3 or 4 days. after 7 days I called the shop for an update to be told the technician working on my receiver wasn't around and he would call me back that afternoon... I never got that call. This happened on 2 other occasions until eventually I went to the shop to try and get some answers, I was fobbed off yet again and told I would get a call that afternoon, Someone did actually call me this time and explained that I needed a new Audio PCB, great so how much is that?" "I'll send you a quote". Well i'm sure avid reader you can guess what happened next! It took another couple of days for Coastal to send me that quote. The cost of the repair wasn't financially viable so I declined and told Coastal I would be picking up my receiver in the next few days. I left it three to be on the safe side. Lo and behold when I did eventually get there I was told my AV Receiver wasn't even on site! I had to go back the next day and eventually I was able to collect my property. So in summary a miserable customer experience that cost me $70.. beware."

Terrible communication.Have now been waiting two months to get my TV fixed.With an initial visit paid to look at it, and didn’t turn up the first two scheduled visits…then weeks of me ringing trying to follow up On the repair. Then another part needed weeks later, again with me constant ringing wanting an update as the guy never rang me when he said or … now still waiting to get the part to get it fixed. Can’t get ahold of him.If I didn’t already pay the first cost I wouldn’t have bothered with this insane company!

Haven't made up my mind as yet hard to get in contact with by phone have had co nflicking information from them and TCL NZ so still waiting for my replacement TV which I was told by coastal it was on it's way from TCL last week but TCL said that they were waiting for coastal to submit their report on my old TV.so I'm still waiting after 3 weeks

Coastal Electronics were really helpful. Though they couldn't fix my Inverter because the parts are difficult they told Me what was wrong with it so I could seek alternatives. Thanks heaps.

Very unprofessionalWe dropped off our 55” Samsung uhd 4K tv. Had the problem of half screen. They took the initial $100 inspection fee, which was fine. They said they will call in a couple of days with the quote. No call received from their end. We called them for an update. They asked us to wait for few days for a decent response. Again no response from their end. No one picking up our call in the store either. We had to go to the store to get a proper answer. The person in the store asked me to write my contact details so they will call back. They did call back today (phew!) said the quote is $1000 as they have to change the whole panel. We found it to be too expensive and asked to take the tv back. The store person said yes we can collect the tv, it has been unopened since we left it in the store! We asked how did you inspect without opening the box? The answer - we know what the problem with the tv is.When we went to collect the tv and enquired again, the store person changed the statement to they did opened up the tv to inspect. When we opened the box at home, it did seem untouched and unopened.Spent $100 for zero result + wasted time + poor customer service.

not happy. Sent 55in Sony tv away after screen started displaying lines streaked horizontally and vertically, to determine whether it will be repaired or replaced - , it took 3 weeks to get looked at, then once picked up radio silence after 1 week of being in shop, they claimed to have called, they haven't.
