The staff were pleasant and efficient unfortunately, the food was overly priced for the quality. I found the smell of the alcohol used in the chicken and the mushrooms was overwhelming as well as dry and was not that pleasant to eat, the mussels were undersized. The kids meals were good value considering they get a drink and dessert with the main however, the kids burgers were too hard to bite and they couldn't eat them so left still hungry. The ribs were not meaty and weren't the greatest dish either. Unfortunately it was not a good experience and I am very unlikely to return to dine at the restaurant. The total cost of our meal was $380.00 and it was a total waste of money.

The food very nice here.. RIBS Number 1.. service very good.. raspberry juice very nice.. fast service. Clean toilet. Best food.

Lone Star Cafe & Bar
Exceptional dining experience, we hadn't made reservations and the staff were more than accommodating as soon as we walked through the doors. Prices are amazing especially the kids meals with free drinks and dessert. Wait staff have impeccable table service, the entire area was very clean including the restrooms. Food was served hot and super fast, not to mention delicious and massive portions.I highly recommend to all, I was super impressed and will definitely be back again next time I'm in Rotorua.

Me and my friend came in for dinner last night and both enjoyed our meals very much. There was a 30 minute wait time to get a table as they were very busy and we didn’t book. Although the amazing server we had- although as soon as we were sat, the waitress Mackenzie attended to us straight away and took our order. She was very efficient and kind and as soon as we needed something she made sure to help us out straight away such as getting us water etc. She was doing an amazing job and looked like she handled the pressure of being very busy well. Just wanted to show our appreciation to the job she is doing as we think she deserves to be recognised and is doing an amazing job. Thankyou Mackenzie and Lone Star 5/5 stars!!

Meals only average unfortunately as they looked lovely, crumbed chicken was a tad crunchy.The tequila lime scallops however are bloody tasty.

Great location with a lot of choice on the menu, I had the steak, and it was good, meat good have been better, but overall, my experience was good. Friendly staff and good customer service. Parking was but difficult at night time but location was great for dinning.

Lone Star Cafe & Bar
Dined at this restaurant for Matariki Weekend in Rotorua and it was very busy and we comfortably sat outside for dinner. They were very friendly and attentive despite this and were very fast and checked up often. Our food was amazing and the tornado cocktail was worth it. They even cooked the steak exactly medium rare! Great warm restaurant for families and people that have had a long day. Would go back again next time we go to Rotorua.

Friendly and helpful staff. The food was amazing! Food took a while to come out but it was worth the wait. Kids menu had alot to too choose from. Value for money.
