Food is great, big serving. Ambience is nice. Al fresco dining. Will definitely dine again when I come back here at Whangarei

Food was well presented, but not value for money… Milkshake was really good. Service was also good and food came out quick.Was wet and cold when we went and was told the gas heaters wearnt working because they had no gas.

I’m just in awe, if you want to have the experience of the life time go to Mokaba Cafe. The staff are brilliant, warm and joyful. I was greeted by this amazing lady and asked her what she recommends (as it was my first time going there) and wow just wow her reference she gave me was amazing, food was cooked superbly and I highly recommend going there for a first date or just a chill day out. The price is so affordable, I got myself a large hot chocolate and a lovely breakfast to go with it for only $25!!!

Always busy here and have only been to buy coffee before today but we thought we would try something for brunch.. we both got the B.L.A.T that comes with chips on the side.. a little dry and basically a half of avocado just on top of everything else maybe could of been spread out? The bread was very crusty and dry and bacon was also hard and dry but it was ok. Iced coffee was the highlight though. Mango smoothie could do with some ice or be a lot more chilled as it was quite warm. Staff are friendly and is mostly clean around the tables ect possibly would give 2.5 stars out of 5 for today.

Came here for breakfast this Saturday morning, about a half-hour after opening. Not busy, and plenty of parking still available.My son is allergic to dairy and eggs, and the staff were very helpful with our questions about allergens.I ordered the eggs benedict with bacon. Eggs were poached perfectly, bacon was crispy and not burnt. I'm personally not a fan of mesclun /rocket on my eggs bene. Everyone else loved their food.They have indoor and outdoor sheltered seating which we made use of.

Good coffee, beautiful art being exhibited, but an overcooked poached egg left me feeling a bit disappointed. The toast was sadly underdone. It’s a decent enough cafe but very draughty. The service was warm though! Very welcoming. There were free papers to peruse and the vast outdoor seating would likely be lovely in Summer.

Definitely will be coming back. The staff was amazing but the heart of the cafe has to be the kitchen cause Damm that food was the definition of amazing hats off to the chef's Harry n Alfe. Food was great n drinks. Can't fault a thing.

My husband had the beef burger and had no complaints. However my creamy mushrooms were not at all what I expected or have experienced at other cafes. Would say it's the worst creamy mushroom I have ever had. It came out lumpy and tasted like Campbell's mushroom soup right out of the can. Very unpleasant.
