Friendly place, staff are caring individuals

This is the best facility my Mum has been in. I am listened to when there is any small problem. The staff say hello to every resident and visitor when passing, this reflects the care of management. The staff are well trained and remain kind and caring when the elderly are testy. The younger Drs recently engaged are so much appreciated, bringing with them communication and information. The rooms all have beautiful park or garden views. The laundry service is exceptional and go out of their way to get the right clothes to the right rooms, often within the same day of unclean clothes going out. My only observation of improvement would be the food is inexspensive, not appetising for the elderly, especially the evening meal, too many carbohydrates for the end of the day. Otherwise an exceptional facility.

They seem short staffed. Clinical manager and head nurse are a bit uncaring and not truthful. Manager is very hard to contact. Calls are rarely returned. The diversional therapists are amazing and the food is great too but doesn't make up for the lack of care. Some of the care givers were lovely and helpful but unfortunately maybe there's not enough of them.

Well managed, clean accommodation, caring staff. One of only two establishments in Waikanae that can be recommended -- the other is Charles Fleming, part of Rymans.

One of the best retirement village I have visited. Great atmosphere, clean rooms, friendly stuff. Great menu and a variety of daily activities availed to the lucky residents. Highly recommended!

Fantastic staff. The carers are so thorough. I would recommend this for any mum or dad.
