Still the same old library, trusty and reliable. They update with new exhibits all the time. The latest was in observance of the ANZAC just gone, biographies of famous New Zealand soldiers.

Local library, good location. I usually park in a nearby street (either free or metered parking, and there's a free parking lot outside the library). Wheelchair accessible and disabled parking nearby. Returns are outside the main entrance door. Nearby is a cafe in the gallery next door. Lots of large trees outside which provide lots of shade in summertime for hot days. Easy to sign up for membership and it's free for locals who live near.

The library is my best friend! Always love visiting library and leaving with new books to read. Beats buying books! Staff are helpful and friendly.

Library over two floors. Downstairs, as well as the usual books, dvds, magazines etc there are some chess and checkers boards. There’s quite a few tables as well as computers. Wifi available too. I tried to get some printing done from my own device which turned into a hassle. Documents got lost, the quality was bad, it took ages for something of appalling quality. However, I visit the library often primarily to supervise contact visits for families. There are toilets, a lift and steps to upstairs which is where the children’s section is. They have kids activities on some afternoons (check in advance). There are a few carparks outside but otherwise parking can be tricky. There used to be a cafe attached which has now closed permanently. I feel like the library is due an upgrade.

a good library but unfortunately the peace is interrupted by the man who works here having conversations on the phone and in person with seemingly no awareness of how loud he is and how VERY loud his laugh is.... shhhhh

Medium size library in the middle of Lower Hutt. Three floors. Ground floor for library, first floor for kids, second floor with desk and power points for studying/working. On Friday and Saturday there are activities for kids.Recommend

There's always something going on at this great library. My two boys love going there and I usually find a book or two to keep myself amused. School holiday programs are really well thought out and are totally appreciated! Well done.
