Awesome experience and service! The cuisine is more Asian features and mixed with local taste, bring normal dishes with a new soul! creative dishes with a well-displayed delicious food is what we got today.More spaces upstairs and rich design details are hidden everywhere, especially loves the courtyard, glad to try it on a summer night next time.

First time tryouts fusion food on a busy Saturday night with group of 9! Making efforts to have enough water for a very hot evening!! Waiter had to apologize no jug water be left in our table as busy night! Again we accept the time and occasions but seriously services yet to improve. I had tried 4 different small plates between two people but both were overnight tummy trouble! Suspect that food quality and price don’t match at this restaurant… perhaps avoiding the deep fried and lamb so fatty… don’t know where the high reviews are from?? Decor and seating are pleasant but no water// air conditioning after certain time likewise want us to leave ASAP

The food was excellent, gorgeously decorated, and well prepared. The service, however, was average. Although the waitress was competent and professional, she forgot to refill our water glasses, which is a very fundamental and crucial task. She didn't ask as to whether we wanted to have dessert. We waited for five to ten minutes and no one to be seen. I would recommend this restaurant..

The food and service was great. Popping prawns was delicious and also their duck fried rice. Also enjoyed the eggplant chips. Food quantity on the plates are good. The only disappointment was that they told me they would charge $20 to bring a birthday cake for my husband to the restaurant. I thought that was ridiculous as it was only the two of us and $20 is a lot to just bring out a cake and give us two saucers , a knife and two spoons to eat the cake. I was really put off by that. I would have chosen another restaurant but my husband always wanted to try Xoong so I took him there for his birthday.

We booked last minute for 4 at Xoong and the entire experience was superb. Most restaurants are struggling with staffing numbers, and if that's true at Xoong the team must have been firing on all cylinders as we couldn't have been happier with the food or service. Our orders were taken promptly and drinks appeared swiftly. Everything we ordered was great but special mention goes to the Shiitake Gyoza, beef cheek curry, sweet & sour pork belly - how can something so common be so amazing - trust me it was. The restaurant was pretty full and I now know why - five stars on all counts!

Atmosphere and ambience was overall lovely, but our experience was deteriorated from feeling rushed to order and finish our meal. We weren’t check on for our needs but rather asked, “can I take that plate away for you yet?”. Not too sure what’s the rush when we’re paying lots of money for the tiniest portions to enjoy between the 4 of us - which I will add, was below average as you can get much better Asian fusion elsewhere. On the good side, our waters were always topped up.I don’t rate the dishes below as they were far too expensive for what you can get. The ‘Pad Thai’ had no love. About 3 pieces of pork and 3 pieces of prawn was found in the mix for $34. We were informed that the menu was designed for sharing, but that Pad Thai was genuinely only enough for one person to eat. 80% of the squid plate was sauce and then 20% was squid for $23. Chicken wings $20 for 4 was just sad. Also had the duck salad too which was alright. We wanted to order more as we were still hungry but decided we would just hop on over to explore the other places nearby.

If you like asian fusion, dont recommend. Tasteless, small portion. I think it is famous because of Big space and kind FOH. If you are foodie, Dont GO.

Dinner with work colleagues and everyone enjoyed the fab food, beautifully presented on lovely pottery dishes. No complaints there. Staff were very friendly and always seemed to be there when we wanted them.Definitely worth a visit.

A must visit restaurant in Auckland.Walking in, the great decor and vibe really set our expectations. We felt we'd decided on the right restaurant. There were four different staff members that served us throughout the night, and each person was super fun, friendly, and helpful. We had a few cocktails, all of which looked impressive and tasted even better. The food was amazing. We ended up getting three small dishes with a side of rice which was plenty of food for the two of us, although we still had room for a small dessert. Each dish was fantastic. Looked like an artwork and tasted just so good. Will definitely he back!
