The Fat Beagle Cafe
It was a good wait for food and drink (around 25 minutes) but it was SO WORTH IT. I had the roasted veggie frittata with beet/lentil salad, raw raspberry cheesecake and an iced coffee. Honestly, my favourite eats so far in NZ. There was a cute little artsy shop in the building that was unfortunately closed, would have loved to browse while waiting for the snacks. Hats off to the chef in the kitchen, it really hit the spot. Thanks for having some really tasty veg and vegan options!!

Lovely country kitchen vibe cafe with nice gift shop you can browse while waiting for food.Friendly and cheerful staffTasty eggs benedict with bacon and nicely presented. Also roast veggie frattata was tasty and presented with decent side salad.Highly recommend

It's a great location just outside of Christchurch for a visit. You usually see friendly motorcyclists stop off here for a drink before either heading across to the coast or heading back to Christchurch. Very friendly staff there.

The Fat Beagle Café, seems a very popular spot. The style of the Café was welcoming and the toilets were clean. The food, I ordered the Pancakes with Banana and Maple Syrup (As seen in the picture). I believe it was one of best Pancakes I have ever had. Overall 5 Star, Nice Food, Nice Building, Nice Café. What else could you ask for on a Sunday Lunchtime? Definitely will be back.

Never heard or knew of this place but we needed a light lunch stop and were passing on our road trip that day. There were nice tables outside and plenty room inside. The cabinet food looked fabulous and the specials menu was tempting but we both plumped for the roast vege fritata which was delicious and the coffees were great too. Will have to remember this place for the future and try the other food. Worth calling in

Milk lab almond milkDelicious coffee.Slight advice to not use such a strong smelling marker on takeaway coffee cups, but no one's fault.Accommodating for us vegans. Would travel for this coffee easily.
