Cable Bay Adventure Park

Review is for the cafe only as we didn't do any of the awesome looking activities. The Cafe is lovely and very homely and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and the food was served quickly and was fantastic in both taste and value. Coffee was also excellent and we definitely be going back at sometime. The Sunday roast is excellent!

Great staff, beautiful location, not as scary riding the Skywire as I anticipated, even at 88kms per hour. Lovely setting with quad and mountain bike options too. Cable Beach down the road worth viewing too

Booked and I had to change twice as our dates moved - super easy to do.Easy booking system and only takes payment 24h beforehand.Got there 30 mins early so patted the sheep and alpacas! Sky wire was a fun activity but very expensive for what it is.Would recommend making more of a day of it e.g go for a hike or ride and then do the activity.Great craft beer which we enjoyed afterwards.

I absolutely enjoyed the sky wire experience. Their safety protocols were great, and it's an amazing view 150 meters up. You fly forward at fast speeds then slow down and get to enjoy the amazing views as you are cranked up to the other side and then you do it in reverse. Lasts about 10 minutes. I loved it! My friend found it pretty scary. I highly recommend and if in peak season you should buy ahead.Additionally the adventure park has a nice cafe on site and bathrooms.

This place is an absolute “must go to”.It’s family owned by Richard and his wife Elina, they have an excellent team and also the nicest café (Base Cafe) where the chef will make u the best sandwiches and coffees around. Next to all the activities like quad rides, skywire and plenty more there is also a hand build Enduro/DH Trail Park on this absolutely stunning property. With a number of 20 Trails running trough 100+ year old native bushes this place has everything u ask for as an Enduro rider. You can tell by all the effort that all those volunteer trail builder and the owner have put into this place, it really is more than a passion it’s absolutely stunning. And one thing is for sure u will have a lot of fun.

Very friendly staff and great customer service..enjoyed our chat with Shannon who picked us up from meeting point and gave us a bit of history about the area and the land arou d the park. Safari who drove us up to the skywire was very joyful to talk to as well...both gave us great tips and answered all questions we had about things to do while in Nelson. Highly recommended experience overall. Thank you ladies for making sure we have a great experience at the adventure park as well as around Nelson

Really enjoyed the ride, beautiful views. We chose to leave our phones in the car so we didn't lose them on the ride but regretted it as soon as we got to the top, the view was incredible!The only thing I wish is that they had cameras attached to the swing so you can pick up a photo after the ride like you do at the luge and on roller coasters. That sort of souvenir would have been awesome to show how high we were. Hopefully something the park will consider.Otherwise we highly recommend!

We had a fantastic experience at Cable Bay Adventure Park with some good friends. Cullen is a brilliant quad-bike tour guide, he is a very informative, easy going and friendly dude. He made Carla feel very much at ease on her birthday and we had heaps of fun.Great tips on flora and fona, predatory eradication and local history, thoroughly recommended day out and another 10 minute drive leads you to an amazing bay. :)

Fun place with breathtaking scenery and fascinating old-growth forest. The guides are really friendly and knowledgeable. A great escape into nature while being close to Nelson. The transport from Nelson is super helpful too.
