I must admit I came here 10 years ago and the food wasnt too great so stayed away until today when a friend suggested we come here. Today food and service was excellent, really appreciate the staff letting us hang out for 3hrs without making us feel like we had to get out. We ate our meals and just drank water which they continued to top up. My salmon meal was so good that I will definitely be returning to have it again very soon.

Honestly an amazing place with great service and amazing food, history filled and literal hidden gem as it's located in a business district and doesn't get the attention it deserves in such a location... non the less we'll most definitely be back.

We had a babyshower there this weekend. From the bookings right to the very end they were very helpful and quick to response. The venue was beautiful and the high tea was delicious. The staff went out of their way to make everything perfect.What a wonderful day we had there. Thank you so much.

Excellent place for the a quick meeting with delicious food. The place is situated in the middle of busy industrial area of Auckland and, provide superb service. Staff is friendly. Really looking forward to visit the place soon.Must try the Garlic Bread.

Mother’s Day High TeaIt’s a quaint little place.Service was a little slow due to lack of staff but I understand it’s tough for hospo so forgiven.Disappointed with the high tea.Everything tasted like it came from a localbakery and not one of the really good ones at that.We ordered for adults and kids.The offerings for the adults were pretty average: date scones, tuna, egg and cucumber sandwiches, micro mini pie and desserts.The desserts were super sweet that we couldn’t have more than 2 items on the plate.The kids high tea: 1 micro mini pie, fairy bread and some of the desserts that were in the adults high tea.When kids tell you that it’s too sweet and they can’t eat it you know it definitely is.Only one savoury item on their plate.One of the desserts given on the kids plate was coffee infused/flavoured. Which kid wants to have something coffee flavoured.The flavours in the high tea was skewed on the sweet it needed more of a balance.Looking at all the tables around us no one could finish their desserts and they packed them to take home.I will give this place another chance and dine on their normal menu but definitely won’t do high tea again.

Beautiful place to have a quiet and intimate dinner with family and friends. Place is just near by. Great food! Fantastic flavours! Beautiful presentation! Awesome service!

We were quite happy with our order: chicken liver parfait and grilled fish (snapper) and chips. The restaurant has the vibe of a country house and the staff is really nice.

Tried this place for lunch today with my workmates and we were impressed! I got the lamb shank which was so good, the mashed potato was velvety smooth and delicious, the gravy was the highlight and the shank was superb — it wasn’t falling off the bone but it was very tasty. Service was great and the staff were friendly. The food came out fairly quickly. Coffee was a little average but that was the only downer for me! Will definitely visit again.
