Absolute luxury. The welcome by Jude was amazing. She is such a great hostess.We were a group of six and we all had large rooms with views and en suites. A wonderful hot tube overlooking the Clutha River. This was a beautiful place and it was capped off with a great home cooked meal. I would definitely recommend this if you want a bit of spoiling. I'll be back.

Excellent Stay in a stunning location. Very clean and well appointed. Hosts Jude & Mouse couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming. The BBQ dinner was excellent and more than ample quantities for our group of 14. The venison, mushroom sauce and apple crumble was outstanding. The evening spa by the river was a treat. Thoroughly recommend to groups!

The Lodge is sheer luxury. Fantastic position by the river. Incredible lounge and kitchen areas. The owner could not have been more obliging. The four double bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms are 5 star.However if you intend to book make sure you don't get the room with two single beds. It has no bathroom. Along the passage is a toilet with a basin but no mirror. Those in our group who had the room had to ask a couple in one of the other bedrooms if they could use their bathroom. The two in the room with two single beds were charged the same as that for the rooms with ensuites. That is not right. Beware!

Mata-Au Lodge Beaumont Accommodation
Superb stay! Mata-Au Lodge is a large, great quality house with lots of bedrooms and bathrooms, and a large central lounge and kitchen. 10 of us stayed there for 2 nights (4 adults, 6 kids) and we loved everything about it.Mark and Jude were great hosts, very responsive before and during our stay, and super helpful. Mark also drove us to and from the Clutha Gold and Roxburgh Gorge Trails.The outdoor area with the views and the spa was a highlight. The kitchen is very well equipped, air conditioning worked well, TV is huge. There was also a lot of food and drink items available for purchase at a reasonable price.

Fabulous place to stay. Luxury on the river. Spa pool overlooking the river, massage chair, sauna, beautifully decorated rooms with food and drinks on hand...it could not have been better. Great service from Jude. Will stay again when next in the area.

A fantastic spot with a beautiful outlook over the Clutha River and only a short walk to the Beaumont hotel. All the mod cons and kept so very tidy. Whether it is a large group or small I really recommend Mata-Au Lodge if you are staying in Beaumont.
