Common Unity, founded by Julia Milne, has been operating in Te Awakairangi ki Tai, Lower Hutt since 2012. We are a charity that initiates, umbrellas, partners and supports locally owned enterprises. We celebrate the abundance of gifts in our community and work hard to address challenges that affect us all.

If you want to try something a little bit out of the ordinary make a visit to this place. It's very small and sells some interesting items sourced by artisans and local people. Try their manuka honey, very nice. Have a drink and a bite to eat NZ in what almost feels like somebody's home.

Worth a visit. Tasty fate. Lovely seating outside quiet even though on a main road. Peace and tranquility and good coffee too. What's not to enjoy!

Good Neighbour is a great organization they have helped me out of my car that i was living in for 5years and put a roof over my temporarily until I had my own permanent home, which i now have thanks to one of the founders of Good Neighbour. I am truly grateful to have them in my life (Angela, Cam, Jason, Todd and Karen). I now have a good life then what it use to be.

Always like going for walks in this area. We saw ducks and two pukeko. Roxy always finds something interesting to sniff. It's a popular loop walk for taking your dog on.The plants around the stream banks are well maintained. The community has obviously put some love into the place.

Amazing little community hub. The cafe has great food, decent coffee, and lots of toys and activities for the kids. There's also a community library, a little grocery, hand-sewn goods for sale, honey, beeswax and some other crafts. There's countless opportunities here to get involved by taking courses (sewing, gardening etc) and volunteering. As you might expect, it attracts lovely community-minded people.
