Local Doctors - Dawson Road

This is more of a review for Local Doctors in general but also includes a review for this branch. Went to the Dawson Road branch after work at around 4pm yesterday and was told we are not seeing any more patients as we are extremely busy which they were. Suggested I could go to the Dannemora branch which I did and got there in about ten minutes time. The receptionist there told me they were not seeing more patients as they were a doctor short and to go to another branch. Went home and just showed up the Mr. Roskill branch at 8:05 sharp hoping to get seen early. Door was closed and a nurse standing outside told me to come back at 9 as the 8am doctor had called in sick.Hope I can see a doctor for my sore throat this weekend. Next week though, I will be changing my clinic for sure.

Dont come to dawson doctors coz they only see there own kind instead of letting them wait in line. I been sitting here for 2hours and all i see is indians getting seen and the rest of us have to wait. This place does not care for others only care for there own kind. . Who do i see to shut this place down . Knowing dam well they are not skilled at there job. . Still waiting .

Where to start, doctor could not answer basic questions. Nurse walking around pretending to wash her hands every few minutes to appear busy. Receptionist staff have no clue what's happening and can't understand basic english. Have never come across such incompetence through entire staff. On top of this, I've avoided Covid all this time. Sitting in the waiting room for 2 hours for son to get cast looked at(literally 1 min check).Booom, I now have Covid. No masks being worn, filtration system is rubbish, place smells and is stuffy. This is like some 3rd world doctors clinic. Wait times are RIDICULOUS. instead of having staff walking around chatting, put them to work. That's what they are paid for. This place needs a major overhaul, staff and building. New management is a MUST!! The shocking ratings this place has is absolutely true. UTTER RUBBISH!! Do yourself a favour and don't go there.

Poor attention to detail. Worst ever booking system. Frontline staff are not very caring.Many people ahead of the queue waiting longer than other patients that arrived earlier. I saw a lady choking and spluttering for hours and she wasn't offered water or panadol or any assistance until she started yelling. Not very good at all.

I came to visit Dr. Devaraj for the first time today. The reception lady got me registered and told me my waiting time 1.5 hours. And then the nurse called me for my basic tests. Nobody called my name. When I asked from the other receptionist she told the Doctor has left already an hour before and the former receptionist failed to put me under the particular doctor’s patient list. Now have to wait for another hour to see the next available doctor. Staff even wasn’t bother to apologise even

This is the worst doctors to be at as you are always waiting 3 to 4hours just to see a doctor for 5mins or less. Today was the worst day to go, as me and my husband watched an island man get told that he cannot see the doctor unless it's an emergency. All the man wanted was to see a doctor for his test results as he's on dialysis and so he needed to see a doctor as soon as possible. The receptionist was rude and said that he can't coz they are not seeing anyone else except emergency patients. The comment the man made was well thank you but I will never come back to this doctors again coz this has been my doctor's for years and I have been loyal but if you don't want me to see the doctor I will find somewhere else". The look on the receptions face was like she didn't care. You have spiraled downwards Local Doctors Dawson Rd. This is not how to treat ur patients. This made me and my husband leave coz we were angry at what we saw."

Worst medical centre ever! I have been waiting for 4.5 hours to see a doctor and still waiting. I went in with a big glass cut through my toe with severe bleeding. Each time I go and ask how long is the wait they say 9-10 more people before me. However so many people had come after me and was seen by the doctor. I sat here with a paper towel drying out blood coming out of my toe all these hours! This is not a urgent care!

All the doctors and Nurses at Local Doctors are kind and professional, but very busy. So there is a strong possibility that you won't see your regular GP every day you visit there.The waiting time to see a nurse is at least 2 hours and then 3+ hours to see a doctor. I guess, this is due to the shortage of healthcare workers in NZ.Not impressed with most of the receptionists and office staff there, but there are couple of kind and professional ladies there to assist you, I assume one is the clinic manager.

Absolute putrit unorganised , unprofessional, i brought my baby in at 9:30 am who has a temp of 39.7 only to tell me they full I must come back in two hours , came back at 12:30 and I’m sitting here for another 1.5hrs , this ppl have no compassion for the sick… they are the worst at doing there job properly , nurses are walking up and down drs always in and out on brakes what kind of freekin medical service is this , this is so disappointing , I haven’t even seen the nurse yet to take my child’s temp. What a f@.. waiste if time
