I love coming into Okitu store on my way up the coast. They have friendly staff, a pretty good selection of hot food, and if you time it right the sun rise is beautiful out there. One of my favorite stores in town

Amazing place,Best real fruit ice cream

Last diary on the way from Gisborne to Tolaga. A cute store with lots of typical dairy groceries, however, very well known for ice creams!! Good hit food options also, although my chops were a wee bit stale so may have been in the cabinet a bit longer than usual.

Great. The owners been there awhile very freindly and great staff. Well stocked on a wide range of products as well as food items + hot food ( pies, ckicken, chips. Do not know about burgers) and awide range of drinks. Unsure if they sell beer n wine. Dont forget the ice cream n milkshakes. Plenty outside picnic tables, should you n your freinds or family want to eat there. If you on your own dont be shy. Great vibe with the beach straight across the road. Speed limit 60 k's along that strech of road. But being on the 35 the traffic can get up there.so please watch for the children. Hey it used to be 70 k's. Fortunate for me I was able to park straight in frot of the store. Just a heads up. Parking witinin close proximity usually fine. Could be the odd logger or two though. Well patronised and well situated for the beach goers. Rock on Okitu store. Showing my age now.

3 Real Fruit ice creams $18. Big and yum. The kid behind the counter needs to move abit faster and learn to use other equipment other than the cash register. Lucky his co-worker was on to it.

I just took my mum and my son for ice cream and I have to say that I'm so happy with the service, I was served by a newbe about a fortnight or so ago and it was her first day, she was nervous but so polite and bubbly...Today she served me again and she was even more amazing and bubbly, not only did she make sense of my confusing ice cream order but she also whipped my chocolate ice cream just because I wanted to try it.She's amazing and a absolute asset to my favorite ice cream store.
